The next morning, Avni woke up early and took a shower before heading for breakfast. She packed her bag and took a bus to school. Arriving early, she went to the library to revise the materials.

After 40 minutes, Nidhi entered the library and sat next to Avni.

Nidhi spoke, "What are you doing here? I was searching for you everywhere."

Avni replied, gathering her belongings, "Why?"

Nidhi replied, "What do you mean by why? Let's go to class, it's time now."

Avni nodded, and they headed to the classroom.

Avni spoke, "I was doing a last-minute revision for today's competition."

Nidhi replied, "Chill, Miss. Avni. You will ace it."

Avni spoke, "You have a lot of expectations."

Nidhi replied, "I am sure that my expectations for you are the reality."

Avni smiled at her response. Soon, they both reached the classroom. Avni went towards her seat and sat down. Ishan was already there.

Ishan spoke, "Where were you? I thought you wouldn't come today because you got scared of the competition."

Avni replied, "Scared? I am not scared. I came early and was studying in the library."

Ishan thought, "Oh, that's why I didn't see her near the bus stop or on the bus."

Nidhi spoke, "You just wait and watch. This time our school will win because of Avni, not you."

Ishan said, "Wow... you changed teams? Earlier, you were supporting me."

Nidhi replied, "Earlier, I didn't have Avni."

Avni spoke, "Enough. Stop it. We'll see what happens when it happens."

The quiz was going to be held in the 4th period. After the first class, Ishan and Aaron went to their basketball practice while Nidhi and Avni attended all the classes. During the break, all four of them ate their lunch together. The 4th period was Mr. Gupta's class, but since he would be present at the quiz competition, he suggested all the students of class 11 C attend the event.

Ishan and Avni were backstage while Nidhi, Aaron, Neha, and the other students of class 11C were sitting in front of the stage.

Ishan spoke, "Are you nervous?"

Avni replied, "Not much, but it’s my first time here."

She added, "What about you? Why are you so chill? You were practicing the whole day. I wonder if you even have read anything."

Ishan replied, "Of course, I have read."

Avni asked, "Then tell me what is apoptosis ?"

Ishan replied, "Umm... you know what? I am just so naturally intelligent that I don't need to read the materials. All you need to answer the questions and win this competition is CONFIDENCE."

Avni rolled her eyes and said, "Whatever."

The announcement for the quiz competition started, and the participants were called on stage. Avni and Ishan went to the stage and took their seats as "Team C," representing their school.

The host welcomed everyone and explained the rules. The first round began with biology questions. Ishan and Avni answered most of the questions.

In the second round, which was chemistry, Ishan answered more questions than Avni.

For the final round, which featured physics questions, they performed well again. A tricky question came up, and Avni solved it in a few seconds. She hesitated before pressing the buzzer but then did it. She answered correctly, earning a point.

The audience applauded, and Ishan gave her a thumbs-up.

By the final round, they were leading over the other schools.

The last question was announced: "Who wrote the theory of relativity?"

Avni pressed the buzzer confidently and said, "Albert Einstein."

The room got filled with cheers from their classmates as the host confirmed her answer.

The host announced, "Team C has accumulated a total of 200 points and is the winner of this competition. Congratulations to Avni and Ishan for winning this quiz."

He added, "I would now like to invite the school's principal to present the prizes."

The principal awarded both of them trophies, medals, certificates, and iPads. Avni and Ishan were congratulated by the principal and the teachers. They were then asked to take a picture together with the principal.

The principal asked the other teachers to join them too. The photographer asked Ishan to stand close to Avni for the picture. They both smiled and hold their trophies forward to capture, highlight their achievement. After the picture were taken.

The principal spoke to Avni, "Congratulations, Avni. Even though you're new here, you did an amazing job and can do even more to make the school proud."

Avni thanked him and went to meet Nidhi, who was waiting to congratulate her.

Nidhi exclaimed, "You did an awesome job!"

and added, "See? I told you Avni would win this time," looking at Ishan.

Ishan spoke, "Okay, I admit my defeat."

Aaron spoke, "Congrats to both of you."

Avni said, "Thanks, but it was teamwork. We both contributed equally."
