GRADUATION DAY & FIRST ANNIVERSARY !!! 💗

Avni's POV —

The day I had both anticipated and dreaded had finally arrived, the graduation day. It felt like just yesterday when I first stepped through the school gates, clutching my books nervously. And now, here I was, ready to step into the next chapter of my life. But today wasn't just special because of graduation. Today marked one year since Ishan and I officially became a couple. It was the end of one journey, yet the beginning of another.

As I got dressed in my traditional graduation outfit, I remembered the school's instructions to wear something traditional. I slipped into a simple yet elegant cream salwar kameez, and couldn't help but smile at the memories of everything we'd experienced over the past year, the ups, the downs, the teasing, and the sweet moments. Today, I wanted to give Ishan something truly special.

For weeks, I had been working on a sketch of him, a detailed portrait that captured that familiar playful yet intense look in his eyes. I knew he would love it, not because it was perfect, but because it was something personal, a piece of my heart given to him.

"Are you ready?" My mom's voice broke through my thoughts as she entered my room.

"Almost, just need to grab something," I replied, carefully wrapping the sketch in brown paper. My parents had been incredibly supportive throughout this year, especially since Ishan and I started dating. Their involvement meant the world to me.

Grabbing my graduation cap and the wrapped sketch, I headed downstairs. I was eager to meet Ishan at the school gates, and my dad offered to drop me off in his car.

Ishan's POV —

Graduation day felt surreal. Standing in front of the mirror in my kurta, I couldn't help but fix my hair one last time. The last few years had flown by, and now we were on the brink of saying goodbye to school life. But today wasn't just about graduation, it was also our anniversary. One year since Avni finally said yes, and everything had changed for the better.

In my pocket was a small velvet box with a silver bracelet inside. It had both our initials engraved on it. Simple but meaningful. I was excited to give it to her, marking this special day.

As I left the house, a mix of nerves and excitement surged through me. I couldn't wait to celebrate this milestone with Avni. Grabbing my bike, I rode toward the school, heart racing with anticipation.

Avni's POV —

When I arrived at the school gates, I noticed Nidhi waving toward me, holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Come here!" she shouted.

I hurried over to her. "Where's your Ishan?" she teased, raising an eyebrow.

"He should be here any minute," I replied, scanning the crowd.

Just then, I saw him approaching. He waved enthusiastically, looking handsome in his traditional outfit. My heart did that little flip-flop thing it always did whenever I saw him.

With a dramatic gesture, he placed his hand over his heart and exclaimed, "God! Why did you make me so weak? I can't handle how beautiful my girl looks today!"

"Weirdo," I laughed, though my smile gave me away.

"Your weirdo," he corrected with a playful grin.

"Whatever you say," I said, rolling my eyes.

He glanced at the brown paper-wrapped sketch in my hand. "What's that?"

"A surprise," I replied with a mysterious smile, trying to contain my excitement.
