FIRST DATE!! 🎀

Avni's POV —

I woke up to the warm embrace of the early morning sunlight streaming through the window, casting a soft glow over my room. For a moment, I stayed in bed, letting the warmth settle around me. My eyes fluttered open, and a smile played on my lips as I replayed the events of yesterday in my mind. Ishan's words echoed in my head, and the memory of him spinning me around, demanding I say "yes," brought butterflies to my stomach.

I still couldn't believe it. After all the teasing, all the stolen glances, and the moments we shared over the past few months, he was finally my boyfriend. Officially. The thought made my heart race, a feeling of happiness bubbling up inside me that I hadn't felt in a long time.

I sat up in bed, hugging my knees to my chest, savoring the memory. It was a simple confession, but it was so "Ishan" in every way, dramatic, sweet, and full of energy. I laughed to myself, thinking about how long it had taken us to get to this point. I had always thought that if something happened between us, it would be complicated or awkward. But it wasn't. It felt... natural.

As I stretched and got out of bed, I remembered what we had talked about after his confession. He had asked me to meet him at the temple today as he wanted to spend our first day as a couple somewhere peaceful, somewhere meaningful. The idea made my heart melt. Ishan, for all his goofiness, always knew how to surprise me with his thoughtful side.

But I couldn't just show up empty-handed. I wanted to do something special for him too, something small to show him that I was thinking about him. That's when the idea struck me. Cookies. I remembered how he had shared his cookies with me when we were stuck in that room together, and how he had mentioned they were his favorite.

I decided to bake him some cookies. With a burst of excitement, I quickly made my way downstairs, greeting my parents with a smile before heading to the kitchen. My parents had noticed how much happier I'd been lately, and they didn't press me with questions. They simply smiled back, their approval silent but warm.

As I gathered the ingredients, I could already imagine the look on Ishan's face when I handed him the cookies. He'd probably make some goofy joke about me being the perfect girlfriend already. I chuckled to myself as I mixed the dough, letting my thoughts wander to our upcoming date.

Ishan's POV —

I woke up with a grin so wide, it was almost embarrassing. Yesterday had been the best day of my life. Avni had said yes. She was my girlfriend now, and the thought sent waves of excitement through me every time I remembered it. I had replayed the moment over and over in my head before falling asleep, and even now, as I got out of bed, I couldn't help but smile like an idiot.

I glanced at my phone, seeing a message from her, and my heart did that stupid fluttering thing again.

Avni: Good morning 👀

I quickly typed back.

Me: Very good morning 💗 will be waiting for you.

Today, we had planned to meet at the temple. I knew it wasn't the most exciting place for a first date, but there was something about the serenity of the temple that felt right. It wasn't about grand gestures, it was about the simplicity of just being with her. Avni had always been someone who appreciated the small things, and I wanted our first day together to reflect that.

But that didn't mean I wasn't going to give her a surprise. I had something planned, a small gift. It wasn't much, but I knew she'd love it. A journal and a playlist. I had noticed how much she loved to write and sketch in her spare time, and I thought this would be a perfect way to show her that I paid attention to the little things.
