"Rajkumari we have reached" Meera told me and I nodded at her. I put the veil over my head before I was about to step outside.
But to my surprise, before I could step down I saw someone holding me by the waist, I panicked and tightened my hold over my skirt.
"Calm down, it is me" I heard my husband's voice and he lifted me up by the waist.
I held his shoulders for support and fisted my hand over his kurta, I gulped as he touched my bare waist.
"Aap hume niche rakh dijiye"
"Please put me down" I say softly while hanging on a edge, this was so overwhelming. He did not say anything to me.
I was getting confused because of his actions, last night he yelled at me and now he is doing this.
"S-samrat, hum chal sakte hai"
"King, I can walk" I say so that he can put me down, he felt different. I curled my toes when he brought his face closer to me and whispered in my ear.
"Aadhya hum aapke pati hai"
"Aadhya I am your husband" He says to me, his voice was intense but this was a wrong thing for him to say.
My husband, he is but he never acted like that.
I just stayed silent throughout the way and we reached the entrance of the palace, he did not put me down even then.
I was getting embarrassed now.
"Welcome you both" I heard Rajmata's voice and she did our aarti before we moved inside.
I was waiting when he would put me down, but he did not.
"Relax," he says as I was wiggling in his hold. He was so strong and I could feel myself effortlessly in the air.
We entered the chamber, he finally put me down. I adjusted my weight over my feet and lifted my veil, adjusting it over my head.
I saw Aarav, he went to take a bath straight away without a word. I just stood there in confusion and hurt.
"Rajkumari, you should get ready, some rituals are to be performed," Meera told me and I nodded at her aimlessly.
"Tell me when Samrat exits," I say to her and am about to move into another room when Meera holds my hand, I glance at her.
"What?" I inquired of her, and she gave me an uneasy look, "Say?" I asked her. I know she wants to say something. She tightens her lips and speaks.
"You need to take a bath with Samrat" she says and I frown at her.
"Are you mad?" I yell at her and she shakes her head at me. "It is true, Go" she says and nudges my shoulder.
