Remember that Aadhya is just a princess, she is naive, sensitive and can be manipulated easily. So you will see her acting dumbly and rashly at times but that is what I want to show, I want to show how she develops that strong belief that she can do it.
I with a heavy heart approached Rajmata's chamber, I was not willing to raise any questions to her, it was just my first day and how would it appear when I will ask her about her son's whereabouts and that he left me on our wedding night alone.
The pain was still fresh, about his lover. But I will not trust just anyone, I will need to find out on my own.
The guards announced my presence and I finally entered inside, she looked at me and left the work she was doing, I went to touch her feet and she blessed me.
"Kahiye Aadhya, aap ko kuch chahiye tha?"
"Tell me, did you want to say something?" she asks me as she makes me sit on the couch, I nod at her and she urges me to tell her.
"Ji, Hume Samrat ke vishay mei.."
"Yes I wanted to ask about Samrat.." I started but she frowned at me, I gulped down the next words, I need to be careful to not upset her.
"Ravendra? He has gone to provide help to the nearby kingdom" she says to me calmly and my eyes lit up with hope. I knew it, he cannot do this and the servants must be talking nonsense.
"Help? As in?" I could not help but ask her softly, she raised her eyebrow at me and I instantly looked down, "I mean he did not visit me so I was worried" I said, my nails digging inside my palms with nervousness.
"War, they are our allies so we need to help them, he will come soon," she said and stood up, I too stood up scaredly and followed her outside. The veil was falling down again and again, I was not comfortable with it.
"No need to concern yourself with this stuff, it is not your field of expertise. And that veil should not fall again" she said strictly and told me to visit the RasoiGhar. I nodded at her and corrected my veil again, I was embarrassing myself again.
I stood there with my hands shivering and my eyes filled with tears again, the floor appeared hazy to me and I recalled Maa's words, 'Do not let anyone disrespect you' She is a strong woman and wanted me to become just like that.
But how can I upset Rajmata, I am just a girl. She is right. I know I am more than capable of handling the Rasoi and I will do just that. I won't meddle in all this stuff related to politics and power, that is not a woman's work. I immediately whipped that tear that fell on my cheek, it was for just a second before I corrected myself.
I am not a princess anymore, I am a queen and I need to stop crying over small things. I went to the Rasoi and indulged myself there, I have learned a lot from Maa and then Bhabhi also taught me a lot of stuff which I am grateful for.
