Chapter 3

~Chapter 3~

--Gem's POV--

"Drae, why are you upset?" I asked.

"Upset? I'm not upset. I can't be with you beside me", he answered. This made me feel warm, but I knew something was up.

"Really Drae, tell me", I persuaded.

"I want you".

"Want me? What do you mean?".

"Do you want me?".

"Drae. Please it was really just a kiss. Your my friend and..". He stopped me.

"I thought we were going on a date. And didn't that kiss mean something?", he asked.

"Sure. It was a kiss, I mean don't all kisses mean something?".

"No. No they don't. Just...do you like me?".

"Yes, I like you".

"That's what I mean Gem. I want you. I need you. I love you".

I didn't reply. I couldn't.

"Gem?". He was queuing me to reply.

I wrapped myself around him.

"I don't want a hug, Gem. Not now. Not like this", Drae said. I released him.

"I'm sorry Drae. I just can't say it", I said. I was starting to tear up.

"Please don't cry". He said wiping my tear with his thumb. "Don't be sorry. It's not your fault your not in love with me".

"Can we just go for a ride" I cried.

"Yes. Yes".

He reached for me hand and lead me outside. He opened the passenger door for me and I got in. Drae closed it. I got in and we started to move.

"Where would you like to go?", Drae asked.

"I don't really care".

"Neither do I. Not with you I don't", he said. We drove around silently. Then we came to a pond. We got out if the car and walked toward it. I looked at a sign. It read the words "private property".

"Drae this is private property!".

"We're fine. Were young, we do these thing", he said. Soon our bodies were only inches away from the water.

"Would you like to go for a swim?", Drae asked.

"Loved to" I replied.

"Look there's a dock!", Drae said pointing. "We can jump off that".

"Alright", I said. He pulled me over to were the dock was. We climbed up on in. Drae jumped off. We laughed.

"Come on in", Drae cooed. I jumped in holding my breath. We swam for a while. We had a great time. When we got out our clothes were soaked. We laughed.

Apparently someone saw us.

"Hey! Hey, you kids!", the person yelled. We ran to the car, the person chasing us. We got to the car and Drae started it up. We quickly drove away. Then we started laugh. It's fun hanging out with Drae. I didn't want this moment to end, but it had to.
