Chapter 6

~Chapter 6~

--Gem's POV--

While at the drug store I picked up some pregnancy test and a pack of M&M's. When I got home I went to the bathroom and ripped open one of the pregnancy tests. I sat on the sink waiting for the answer. I look down at it. It read +. I threw the test away and went into my room and opened the M&M's.

Then I heard Ben, "Gem! Get in here now!", He yelled.

I sat my M&M's down and left my room. Ben was standing in front of the bathroom door.

"What is this!?", He yelled.

"Why do you care anyways It's not like your worried about me. You're never going to know my child", I said.

I went to my room and packed all of my belongings. I slammed the door of my house and drove back to Drae's. I opened the door to Drae's house without even knocking. I went up to Drae's room.

Once I saw Drae I dropped my stuff and said "I love you".

He was lying on his bed, but once I said that he sat up. "I love you too", Drae said.

"I need to tell you something."

"Yes?"

"Please don't me mad at me. Will you promise?"

"I promise."

"You know how you wanted me to take that pregnancy test?"

"Yah..."

"Well I took it and". Drae stopped me.

"Your pregnant. This is all my fault. I'm sorry Gem. I really am. I know you didn't want this. You wanted to go to college. If you knew how sorry I am. I wish I could just take that night back and do it again. I would've made sure we didn't have sex. I am so very sorry Gem."

" Well I don't wish to take that night back. I think we spent that night exactly right. And so what if I'm pregnant? I'll go to college after I have the baby. This is exactly why I've always wanted. Something that I've never had. A family."

He got up from his bed and hugged me.

"We need to find a place, Gem", Drae said.

"Ok then lets go find one. Check the newspaper", I said.

We went downstairs. On the counter was the daily newspaper. Drae picked up the newspaper. He filled to the page where it shows houses for sale. We must of had luck because we found the perfect apartment. Drae's younger sisters over heard us.

They started to cry "Don't leave us Drae", Doreen said.

Doreen is Drae's youngest sister.

"I have to, I can't live with Mom forever I'm a grown man. I wish that you guys can come with us, but we just don't have enough room.", Drae said.

We called the real-estate agent and she told us that we could check out the house today. Then we drove to the apartment. When we got to the apartment the real-estate agent told us everything about the apartment. It was a nice apartment.

"We'll take it", Drae said.

"Good, I just want to know when your moving in. Hopefully soon", the real-estate agent said.

"Yes, we were hoping to move in tomorrow, Drae said.

"Wow, ok sooner then I expected, but alright", the real-estate agent said.

We drove back to Drae's house. I spent the night there again. We didn't do anything just slept. The next morning we woke up and packed Drae's stuff. Once we had everything packed I gathered all of my stuff I had packed before hand.

We put everything in the back of Drae's car. We left the house and drove to our new home. I was so excited to move into my new home and I think Drae was too.

On the way we went through a green light. I saw a car come from the right. I panicked. It all happened so fast. One second I was super excited then the next I was scared and frightened. The driver's side of the car was hit. I heard ambulances come near us.

"Babe", I said.

Drae didn't answer.

"Drae!", I yelled. He still didn't answer.

"No,no,no", I said.

I started to cry.

I wanted to know if Drae was dead, but I already knew the answer.
