The Destruction of Gensokyo

Addendum I: Jairus

Ah yes, but indeed, you must be wondering, what was the right end of the little dry girl? Well, it's plainly obvious now, isn't it? Our reaper got to her.

Let's see, here is the report from our dear Komachy:

Marisa was just waking up. She was being held steadfast by some chains from both her ankles and wrists. In front of her she saw the Ogre boy standing there.

MARCUS:
"To think you are THAT intruder they warned us about."

MARISA:
"Wha-... What...? Where am I..."

MARCUS:
"You're under arrest until Lady Saigyou decides to hand you a verdict."

MARISA:
"But why am I hung up like this?!"

MARCUS:
"Because you have attacked an inquisitor for no discernable reason."

MARISA:
"No reason!? She attacked us first!"

MARCUS:
"The report states that the residents of the Scarlet Devil Mansion were the first instigators. It wasn't the first time they've attacked an inquisitor either; one of their motives behind moving to Gensokyo originally, was to escape from the inquisition back in Europe, at least half a millennium of fleeing! They were most lucky the father of lies managed to destroy the honorable institution in the outside world."

MARISA:
"..."

MARCUS:
"You should pick your allegiances more carefully next time."

MARISA:
"...They weren't really an ally to begin with, I went there to check on something else entirely. Sooo... how about freeing me now that you know I'm not in cahoots with them?"

MARCUS:
"You still are guilty of attacking Lady Saigyou, so only she can free you from your binds. But it seems as though your time is running low. You are going to die soon, aren't you?"

MARISA:
"Wha-!? How do you...!?"

MARCUS:
"Lady Saigyou could tell, I'll inform her you woke up."

MARISA:
"Hey hey!! Don't leave me hanging!? HAhaa, ehem- OUCH!!... It hurts like hell..."

Out of pity, the Ogre boy stood a little longer.

MARISA:
"I need to... I need to ask thee somethings!"

MARCUS:
"What would that be?"

MARISA:
"So uh... uh... I noticed that you, you don't look at people in the eye while talking to them, kinda reminds me of Akyuu not gonna lie hahaha..."

Marcus tried going about this as a professional. He decided to humor Marisa a little, seeing how she was about to die anyway.

MARCUS:
"Well, it cannot be helped. My eyes cause madness in those who see them for too long."

MARISA:
"That's... hey, I thought only lunarians had those, didn't you say you were an Oni?"

MARCUS:
"When we came to establish ourselves here, there were nine worthy women who were the founding mothers of all of us. Three of those women happen to be lunarians. Go ask Keine for details, she was the one who wrote this story."

MARISA:
"Nine? I guess one of them must have been Kaguya?"

MARCUS:
"What??"

His cool had suddenly been broken.

MARCUS:
"How do you know that name? You're an intruder!"

Not understanding that she was walking on very thin ice, Marisa was about to say a most dangerous string of words, not out of malice but out of sheer stupidity. Nobody in Gensokyo ever gave proper discipline to her, she was a runaway girl so not even her parents ever got the chance to teach her how to behave in new places; all her life she spent in the comfort of the forest with the fairies not caring a thing in the world for anything except getting stronger.
