Milt's hardest work
Milt Khal was the one to animate Peter Pan and the Darling children.
In his later life, he told people that the hardest thing he ever did was animate weightlessness.
In other words, animating a character who's floating in midair. Not technically flying, just floating without moving.
Flying may have been easier because there was movement involved, but to animate weightlessness, you still have to make it convincing.
So I see why Milt found it so hard.
He made it easier by animating Peter's upper body first, then adding his legs later.
