it wasn't often that luli's father summoned her to his office.
the last time she'd been to his office was on his birthday to give him a cake, but that was voluntarily.
besides his birthdays, there was only one other time she had been there; a time that had traumatized her, at the time, eight-year-old self.
she shuddered in remembering that moment, but quickly shrugged it off. hopefully it wouldn't be a similar reason this time.
she just hoped it was for a good reason and started her way to her father's office.
as she walked along the massive hallways, she ran her hand against the dark wall, watching the thousands of paintings as she passed them. her father's secretary followed closely behind her, making sure she was going where she was summoned.
"tell me again, yagi-san," she said, being careful not to raise her voice, "why is my father summoning me to his office?"
he shook his head slightly. "it's an important matter that you will learn of when we get there," yagi-san stated.
luli sighed and stared at the paintings of her many family members (most of which were deceased) as she continued making her way to her father's office. her own room (where she had been prior to being summoned) was on the opposite side of the house as her father's wing of the house. with the mansion being absolutely massive, several minutes passed before she arrived at her father's office.
yagi-san politely stepped towards the door of her father's office, knocking and announcing his and luli's presence. after hearing confirmation that they could come inside, yagi-san opened the door and held it for luli to enter her father's office.
her father stood next to the built-in bookshelf beside his desk. next to him stood another man in a suit who her father seemed to be showing something to.
