6 MORE MONTHS LATER
a total of 1 year later

"Why don't you believe me?" Beyoncé cried at the edge of her bed, watching him gather his clothes from the previous night. "You prancing around the world with this nigga. Letting him hold you all tight and shit knowing you with me. That shit makes me feel like a side piece, and I ain't that Beyonce!" Lyndell exclaimed, utterly shocked by her words.

"I ain't that."

Beyoncé's lip trembled as she tried to beg him to stay. "I have no freaking choice. It's my job, you act like I treat you like a dirty little secret. I mention you every chance I get. You're mentioned in my dedication on my album. When people ask about my love life I don't hesitate when it comes to you. I'm vocal and confident about my love for you. I just don't get why you're so bothered all of a sudden."

Lyndell shook his head, not knowing how to explain why he was so bothered. "I'm a man, Beyoncé." Was the best he could come up with. "I can't sit and watch no nigga crush on you like that—."

"Oh please! Michael does not have feelings for me."

"So he didn't pull up with you to the award show holding your hand tight as shit. That wasn't him constantly whispering in your ear and smiling and shit? He ain walk you on that stage and kiss your cheek? He ain tell them people you were his favorite part of the night? That ain't a man that doesn't have feelings for you. He feels something."

She wanted to tell him it wasn't like that, but it's hard when that's exactly what it looked like. It would be wrong for her to deny it and disregard his feelings knowing if it was the other way around, she'd feel a way.

"I'm all yours Lyndell, and you know that."

He shook his head, stepping in front of her to allow her to see the pain in his face. "Do I Beyoncé? I mean, I get it, I completely understand. You're Beyoncé and I'm nobody—."

"No—."

"But damn it hurt. I thought you loved me more than that." Lyndell's voice strained as he forced himself to look away from the girl. "I swear to you Lyndell I would never cheat on you. I have never cheated." She said and he just nodded with a scoff. "I hear you, but how many times have we had this conversation? I don't like to keep repeating myself and it falls upon deaf ears. You have no boundaries when it comes to him and that's all I ask for. Tell him to give you your space. Show that you mean what you say Beyoncé."

She watched him begin to collect all his belongings. Any clothes he'd left over, jewelry, everything.

"So what? We're done just like that?" She asked her voice cracking with the urge to sob. Lyndell remained silent, thinking about it. "We need a break." Is all he said before leaving her bedroom and next, the apartment.

Beyoncé let out a frustrated scream hearing her door slam shut. She allowed her tears to fall freely. She was sick of this.

__________

"Latavia what are you guys talking about?" Beyoncé rubbed her temples as LeToya and Latavia stood in front of her with angry faces. "We talking about why the fuck you ripping us off" Letoya shouted, throwing a balled-up piece of paper down near her feet. Latavia remained civil but allowed her body language to say how she was feeling.

She was angry, they were angry.

Finding out through the label that they weren't making half the amount Beyoncé made was a slap in the face. Letoya automatically assumed she had something to do with it.
