*Third-person POV*

The air inside the prison is cold, heavy with the weight of unresolved emotions. As Jisoo and Jennie step into the building, their footsteps echo softly against the concrete floor. The corridors are dimly lit, and the faint hum of fluorescent lights above adds to the sense of quiet desolation. Jisoo feels Jennie's comforting presence beside her, a silent reminder that she is not facing this alone.

Jisoo's heart races as they are guided to the visitation room. Memories of Jin's betrayal surface in her mind-his anger, his cold words, and the pain of being turned against by someone she once trusted. But alongside those memories are fragments of their friendship and the bond they once shared. The door to the room looms ahead, and with each step, Jisoo steels herself for what lies ahead.

The door opens with a low creak, and Jisoo sees Jin sitting on the other side of the glass partition, his hands clasped together, his eyes hollow yet brimming with regret. He somehow looks smaller, diminished by guilt and sorrow. The sight of him stirs something deep within Jisoo-a mix of anger, sadness, and a profound sense of loss.

Jisoo and Jennie take their seats opposite Jin; the glass is not only a physical barrier but also a symbol of the emotional distance that has grown between them. For a moment, none of them spoke, the silence heavy with unspoken words.

Jisoo stared at him, and with a lot of strength, she managed to only utter a few words, which upheld her inner turmoil and pain (finally breaking the silence).

"Oppa..." Her husky voice felt heavy, like she was trying to hold her tears.

Her voice is soft but laced with a pain that has been festering for too long. Jin looks up, his eyes meeting hers with a gaze full of remorse.

Jin is feeling the same, and as he saw the desperate eyes of Jisoo's for answers, he felt happy that Jisoo let him explain his side, even though he was fully aware that his doings were unforgivable. Still, with a hoarse voice, he replied, "I'm sorry, Jisoo. I know that doesn't change anything, but I need you to know... I never wanted to hurt you."

Jisoo's eyes narrow slightly as she listens, her heart aching with the weight of betrayal.

He continued,"I was lost, blinded by my anger, by the need for revenge. Jiyeon's... she used that and twisted it. I believed her lies, Jisoo. I thought Mr. Kim was responsible for your father's death. I wanted justice for him, for the man who was like a father to me also. But in my pursuit of that justice, I lost myself."

Jisoo feels a tear escape down her cheek as she hears the words she had long suspected but never fully understood. The truth cuts deep, but it also brings with it a strange sense of relief-a confirmation of the darkness that had clouded their past.

His confession seems to be never-ending, but Jisoo was ready to hear everything that he had to say: "I didn't want you to be with Jennie. Jiyeon promised me that if I helped her, she'd make sure you two were separated. I thought I was protecting you-from her, from pain. But I see now that it was my own pain I was trying to mask. I betrayed you, Jisoo, because I couldn't accept your happiness, not when I was so consumed by my own anger. Also, I was angry at you because I thought that, being with Jennie, you forgot about his death and moved on, whereas I was just stuck in that mud of misery.".

Jisoo stares at him, her heart breaking all over again. She remembers the moments she confided in Jin, trusted him, and now sees how those moments were twisted into a weapon against her.

Jisoo's emotional state is very hard to understand at this moment, and just like before, she managed to channel her energy and said in a slightly hoarse tone, "Oppa, you were like a brother to me. I never thought you'd turn against me like this."
