Lyric for chapter: "my love is mine, all mine"
My love mine all mine by MitskiMatt PoV:
It has been a week since Sadie moved in with us. She has slowly been getting more comfortable with all of us but especially me. Due to her age we had to sign her up for school which she's attending next week. It's Sunday and we still haven't managed to convince Sadie to have a bath or shower but since she's in school tomorrow we really want to try convince her.Sadie is sat on the floor doing a colouring page Chris bought her. Nick and Chris and me are at the table finishing our dinner. "Hey Sadie you know how you're going to school tomorrow" Nick said. "Yes" she nodded. "Why don't you have a bath or shower tonight honey so you're all fresh for tomorrow, we don't have to be in the room with you, you can do it all by yourself or if you want us to be there we can be it's all up to you" Nick said softly. We all watched Sadie as she thought about what Nick said to her. "Okay I'll go in by myself" she said putting her colouring books away. That wasn't really the answer any of us wanted with her only being six and being in a shower by herself it was a bit dangerous but if it meant she would shower we would do it. "Okay perfect would you like a shower or bath" Nick asked. "Shower" Sadie said. "Okay come with me I'll show you how it works" Chris said taking her hand as he led her to the bathroom. I got up and got a towel and Sadie's pyjamas. I walked in as Chris was showing her the temperature and I placed her things on the side. "Okay I'll turn it on for you and call us if you need us okay"Chris said and she nodded. Me Chris and Nick all waited outside the door anxiously listening in for any signs of distress. "What if she slips" Chris said nervously. "We would hear it Chris don't worry" Nick said calmly but I could tell he was nervous too. It had been a little while and we heard the shower stop. "You okay Sadie" I said from outside of the door. "I'm good" she spoke back. We all smiled relieved. She came out the bathroom a minute later in her pink pyjamas we bought her and her wet hair dripping on the floor. That's one thing I realised we didn't have a hair dryer. "Matty can you plait my hair" she asked passing me a hair band. "Yeah I'll try" I said and I walked to the living room she sat infront of me on her floor and I started to gently brush her hair. I saw Nick take a picture behind me. "Sorry this is just so cute" Nick said looking at the photo. I brushed her hair until the knots were all gone and then began to plait it the best I could. The plait was a bit messy but good enough. "Thank you Matty" she said looking at the plait smiling. "Who's putting you to bed tonight honey" Nick asked which was a routine we had done all week where Sadie picks who will tuck her in and read her a story. "Hmm chrissy" she said pointing at Chris. "Say goodnight to Nicky and Matty" Chris said. She went over to Nick first. "Night night Nicky" she said hugging him. "Night night sleep well" she then went over to me. "Night night Matty" she hugged me then gave me a little wet kiss on my cheek. "Night night sweetheart" I said as she walked away to her room with Chris.
Time passed and we all went to bed. Me and Chris shared a room now due to Sadie being in mine. As we both fell asleep I heard little footsteps and the door creak open. A little figure walked over to Chris's side of the bed. "Chrissy" Sadie said her voice shaky. "You okay baby" Chris said half asleep still. "I had a bad dream" she cried and I noticed the little tears roll down her cheeks. "Oh you poor thing do you want to come in our bed" he said. She nodded and climbed up through the middle so she was in between us. She rolled over and leant into my chest sniffling slightly but eventually she fell back asleep cuddled up in me and Chris's arms.
