-First POV-

It has been one month since my last mission. Mori was kind enough to give me a month without work, for now...

I sigh as I continue to walk through the empty sidewalk holding a couple paper bag. I shiver as I felt the cold air touch my Pail and seemingly delicate body walking towards a tall building

I open the door of my apartment. I walked inside towards the kitchen table as I set the bags on top. I look around, wondering why the lights were off earlier as I went around the house before opening a room finding a little girl

The child looks a little startled and confused before lowering her guard after I fully light up the room and turning the lights on

I sigh, a little relieved that she's still here but there was a hint of concern on my eye after

After an awkward of silence, I bent down to her level

"Why..." I stopped for a moment, I mentally scolded myself for almost asking the question 'why were the light turned on?' when I already know why

"...Why didn't you eat?" I asked her a different question, concerned for her well being more than i thought I would. But why?

"..." Silence was the answer I got. I almost sigh before remembering that if I sigh again and again at her, she might think that she's just a burden so I refrained from sighing despite being tired with no energy left

I slowly stand up as I walk through the door. I  stopped, turning around at her before saying "come, let me cook us some home cooked food for once in a while" I turned around and walked towards the kitchen and smoothly grabbing the apron that was hanging on the wall and putting it on

I cooked rice before cooking the main dish for tonight. I took out the ingredients and meat before cooking it. The child slowly walked to the kitchen after smelling the food getting cooked. She hasn't smelt anything this delicious before making her stomach grumble alerting me that she's in the kitchen

I calmly smile before turning around to see her standing behind a wall. She held the door frame before panicking when I noticed her and fully hid herself for a few seconds before slowly popping her head from the wall because of the irresistible aroma of the food, her stomach grumble even more

I smiled at her before finally preparing the food. I put a lid on the plate to hide the food from her. I sat the food down, before gesturing her to come. She hesitated a bit but she want over anyway to the table sitting down. I sat down after. I slowly remove the lid "Tada!" I fully removed the lid revealing that I have cooked curry

Her eyes blink twice before her stomach grumbling again. I chuckled before handing her spoon instead of chopsticks. "Let's eat" I said. She didn't need to be told twice and took a spoonful. She brought it near her mouth before blowing the food down before swallowing it. He body was calm but I could see the light on her eyes as she took a another bite of the food I made

'how cute' I thought before digging into my dinner too. I look at her once again. 'she changed a lot compared to when I first met her...' I thought, memories of last month coming back once again
