Anne's pov...!
"What are you doing?" I emphasized each word as I walked towards the bathroom, I've been hearing weird sounds.
When I peeked through the door, I saw her with her cheeks puffed out and I started laughing, making her spit out the water and get everything wet.
"I almost choked, damn" she said leaning on the sink with her hands.
"I was doing vocal exercises" she pointed at her mouth recovering herself.
"Mhm" I said and got closer to her "why don't you try other vocal exercises?" I said biting my lip and tilting my head playfully. She shook her head, a smile creeping onto her face, and leaned in to kiss me.
Just as our lips were about to touch, the doorbell rang, shattering the moment.
She huffed, resting her forehead on my shoulder in frustration "let's go," I said softly, rubbing her arms reassuringly.
She stayed to change her wet shirt, muttering under her breath about the timing, while I headed to open the door, a smile lingering on my lips from the playful interruption.
"Hi!" Claudia greeted excited for seeing me "hey, pretty" I smiled and she pulled me in for a hug.
"Please" I moved to the side and gestured for them to come forward. Finneas ruffled my hair as he passed by while smiling.
"My parents are on their way" he said as I closed the door after took a look in case they were behind the couple.

"You need to stop making your mom cook" I said placing the last bowl with salad that Maggie brought.
"How do you want me to survive?" Billie looked at me being dramatic "you can win an oscar but can't cook for yourself" I mocked and she gasped, Finneas laughed and Maggie hug her daughter.
"Don't worry darling, I'd keep bringing you food" Maggie said and kissed Billie in her hair, I smiled admiring their relationship.
We all sat at the table, enjoying dinner. The room was filled with soft background music, the sound of clinking silverware, and bursts of laughter. Maggie's cooking was amazing, and every bite was delicious. Finneas shared funny stories from their childhood, making everyone laugh. Billie playfully rolled her eyes at her brother's stories, but her smile never faded.
The flickering candlelight added a warm glow to the room, making it feel extra cozy. It felt like home, surrounded by love and joy.
It's been a long time since I've felt this way. This warmth, this genuine connection, is different from hanging out with my friends. It's the kind of feeling that wraps around you like a soft blanket, making you feel safe and cherished. Being with Billie and her family, sharing these simple yet precious moments, fills a space in my heart I didn't realize was empty.
After taking out the dishes we went to sit in the living room to continue talking.
"Do someone want something to drink?" I asked getting up and stretching a bit.
"I would like some juice, please" Maggie said with a warm smile. I nodded and headed to the kitchen.
As I walked in, I was a bit distracted, thinking about our conversation. I entered the kitchen and found Billie and Finneas standing close to each other, their expressions a bit tense, as if they'd been in the middle of a heated discussion.
