Branzy groaned as he fumbled with his keys, sliding them into the keyhole and opening the door. When he walked inside, he was met with the sounds of four of the children playing with what very little toys they had. He looked up to see Failboat just scrolling on his scratched up phone.
Branzy sighed as he closed the door behind him. They boy's had been doing better recently. They had been with Branzy for almost a whole week, he still needed to buy some new things for the boys. Maybe he'll do that tomorrow. He had a day off anyway.
"Hey guy's! How've you been? Being good for Failboat?" Branzy asked the four boys, he had Failboat watch the younger boys while he was at work. And he had started to notice Failboat getting quite protective of the four.
"We're good Branzy!!! We're playing together!!" Skip said as he smiled up at Branzy.
"We've been playing allll day!!!" Rekrap chimed in.
"Failboat even made us cookies!!!" Jaymoji said, sounding very excited.
"Thats great!!" Branzy said, then turning to Failboat.
"How about you? They haven't been causing too much trouble, have they?" Branzy asked Failboat, smiling softly.
"They've been fine. Nothing much besides a little sugar high." Failboat said. Not bothering to look up from his phone besides a quick glance.
Branzy nodded and looked up at the clock, before turning back to the five boys
"Well, I'm going to go get started on dinner!" Branzy said, he then started walking towards the kitchen to get started on Supper
After 30 minutes, Branzy called Failboat into the kitchen to help set the table. Failboat complied. Even if he didn't want too.
Soon the table was set, and everyone was seated at the table, as Branzy plated everyone's plates with spaghetti.
Jaymoji took a big pile of spaghetti and shoved it into his mouth.
"It's delicious Branzy!" Jaymoji said, his voice muffled by the spaghetti in his mouth
"Awww. Thanks Jay! But please, don't talk with your mouth full." Branzy softly smiled as he spoke
Jay nodded his head and continued eating his spaghetti.
Everyone spent the rest of the time eating in silence. Once they where finished, they put there dishes in the dishwasher.
Branzy turned to the boys before speaking.
"Alright. You can have 1 and a half hours of tv before it's time to go to bed." Branzy said
"YAY!!" Skip, Rekrap and Jaymoji said in unison before running off to the living room
"Thanks Branzy!!" Sandiction said, letting out a little yawn as he walks to the living room to join the others.
Failboat just shrugs and walks off, possibly to join the others too, or too the bedroom.
Branzy sighed as he watches them walk off. Taking care of kids was hard, especially five of them. But he knew everything was worth it.
Maybe tomorrow he could get in some bonding time with the kids.
The next day. Everyone hurries out of the car. The boys where all excited, Branzy was taking them to the mall!! Which meant they got new stuff!! Even Failboat was at least a bit excited. Though he tried not to show it. He still wasn't too fond of Branzy. Even if he knew he wasn't going to purposefully harm him.
The six wondered around the mall. The children excitedly pointed at all the stores and food shops they thought where interesting.
Branzy brought the kids into a clothing store. Letting them pick out some new clothes and pyjamas. He did make sure they where the right size after they picked. He didn't want to waste money on things that didn't fit, and he doubted that anyone besides Failboat knew their size off the top of there head.
Branzy took the clothes from the boy's and walked to the counter to pay. The cashier spoke as she rang up the clothes
"They all yours?" She asked
"U-um-... yes. Yes they are!" Branzy replied
"Hmm... you must get really busy then, huh?" She smirked slightly.
"Uh. No. They're all adopted." He said, he was slightly disgusted. I mean, who just says that to someone?!
"Oh..." the cashier stopped talking and finished ringing up the clothing, putting it in bags and handing them to Branzy
Branzy took the bags and motioned for the boys to follow him.
They walked out of the clothing store, they continue walking around the mall. Until Skip spotted a toy store, and started dragging Branzy and the others towards it.
Branzy sighed, he knew he needed to buy them more toys. But some things are so expensive.
"I guess... you boys can buy one toy each: but thats all." Branzy said
Four of the boys got really excited and when to grab the toys they wanted. Failboat just stood next to Branzy. He didn't need any toys, since he was 15, he didn't really play with toys anymore. Branzy turns to Failboat, hoping to get to know the teenager more.
"Sooo... what do you like to do for fun, Failboat?" Branzy asked
Failboat paused what he was doing, hesitating for a moment before answering
"I uh-... i like playing v-video games..." Failboat said, his voice slightly sounded like a low whisper
"Oh really? That's cool! You know... i have a huge stack of video games you could play with anytime you like, if you want!!" Branzy smiled as he spoke, he really wanted to make these kids happy
Branzy noticed Failboat's eyes slightly lit up
"R-really? T-tha-" Failboat was cut off by the sound of the other four younger boys running up to them, one toy each in hand
Branzy smiled softly at the boys, though he was saddened that his conversation with Failboat ended. Branzy grabbed the toys from the four boys, and he went to pay.
After they where done, they continued to walk around the mall, grabbing something to eat from the food court, as well as a few groceries, and even a few sweets for when the boys behave.
They finally get in the car and start heading home after two and a half hours at the mall. Branzy had finally gotten the boys some things they where missing. Hell! The boys had been wearing the same five things every day! He was just glad they had new clothes. All they needed where mattresses now.
He loved these boys with all his heart. He truly did.
