Chapter 2

George Taylor was at his house finishing getting ready for the prom when his tour manager, Morgan, called. "Hey, Morgan!" He answered in his normal cheery tone. "Hey, Mr Taylor!" Morgan responded, trying to match his tone. "Could I come by tonight?" She asked. "I'm sorry I can't work tonight. I'm going to prom," George said, climbing in his car. "Oh. I didn't think you had the time to date anyone," Morgan said, seemingly jealous. "I'm not dating anyone. I'm just going with friends for fun since it's our last prom," George said, unaware of Morgan's growing jealousy. "Oh!" Morgan said. "Have fun!" George hung up and sprayed some cologne on. He looked at his outfit, making sure it looked right for the prom. He was wearing a blue long-sleeved button-up and black denim jeans with brown boots. George put on his white cowboy hat he had been given as a gift from Morgan over his brown Elvis style hair. Morgan would randomly give George really nice and sometimes expensive gifts. George saw Morgan as one of his closest friends. She was only one of three who worked with him. His friend, Whitney, did his hair, and his friend, Dale, drove the tour bus and went to school with George, but Morgan was mostly the one by George's side and he trusted her as if she were a sister to him. A much older sister, though, as she was thirty-seven to his nineteen. The house phone rang, and George ran to get it. "Hello?" He answered. "Hey!" Dale answered. "Are you on your way to prom?" George climbed in his Ford Focus. "Yeah, I'm on my way. I'm leaving the driveway now," he said, driving down the road. "Well, hurry!" Dale said excitedly. "They have some really cute girls here." George rolled his eyes, knowing that Dale knew how he felt about dating while George started getting famous in country music, but that never stopped party boy, Dale from trying to get him a woman.
