The days soared by, and finally, the big day had come. George and Natalie's wedding day. As George stood inside the bathroom of Joy and Rick's house, fixing his tie and making sure his tuxedo looked right, Jayden walked in to check on him. "George? Are you okay?" He asked in his deep voice. "Just nervous," George said, not breaking his gaze from his reflection. Was this really happening, George thought. Are my dreams really coming true? As he thought, Lucy walked in. "Hey, sweetie! It's packed out there," she said excitedly. Lucy picked up George's boutonniere and clipped it onto his tuxedo. "My handsome baby boy is getting married," she said, fighting back her tears of joy. "I can't wait to see how she looks," George said, with stars in his eyes. "She looks beautiful, honey," Lucy said. She wrapped her arm around his. "Now let's get this show on the road!" She said.
As George stood under the canopy, he was so eager and nervous at the same time. He looked at Dale. "Do I-" Dale cut him off. "You look fine. Now stop worrying so damn much," he said. As George looked at the backdoors, he waited for them to open so he could see his beautiful bride. As the doors slowly opened, "I cross my heart" by George Strait played over the speakers on the porch, and Natalie emerged from the house wearing a beautiful white gown with flowers embroidered into the bottom of it. She wore a flowery tiara and held cherry blossoms in her hands. She was stunning. As she walked to George, he noticed she was barefoot and couldn't help but chuckle to himself. She took his hands, and they looked lovingly into each other's eyes. "I understand you have written your own vows," the pastor said. George nodded and began. "Natalie, you've been by my side through thick and thin. When I was in the hospital, you never left my side." As she listened to George speak, she felt so happy. Every beat of her heart seemed to pump nothing but love for him. His eyes, she thought. "I can't wait to start this new chapter of our lives, and I can't wait to meet our little girl," he finished. Natalie gathered herself and took a deep breath. "I have known you only a year, and I can't help but wonder where you've been my entire life," she began. "You came into my life just when everything seemed to fall to pieces, and you tied everything back together. My grandmother died, and my boyfriend started getting distant and broke up with me. My life seemed like it was falling apart." She said to George's surprise. He hadn't known that much. He didn't mind learning. She opened her heart to him. "You are my rock. My heart. My soul. My eternal love," Natalie finished. She slid the golden band onto his finger. They stared again into each other's eyes, craving the coming kiss and feeling as if it were only them on the patio. "You may kiss the bride!" The pastor said. Natalie smiled, and they leaned in, locking lips together, and both got the same electrical warm feeling. Filled with the overwhelming urge and bliss, they continued their passionate kiss.
