George and Natalie sat at the table talking when they realized everyone was almost gone. "Have you eaten tonight?" George asked Natalie. Her stomach growled. "No," she responded. "Let me take you out to dinner," George said. Natalie blushed slightly. This man seemed perfect. There had to be some kind of catch. "No, I don't want you to waste your money on me," she said. "It's not a waste. In fact, I'm a little hungry myself," he said, trying to persuade her. "You know what? Sure!" Natalie said. He took her hand and led her outside to his car, and opened the passenger door for her. She climbed inside, and he shut the door and hopped in the car himself, driving away. Natalie and George both sat nervous. Natalie didn't know why, but she knew she could trust this man, and he felt the exact same way. George pulled the car into a Texas Roadhouse parking lot. He stepped out and opened her door, and helped Natalie out. They walked in and were led to a table. As she sat there scanning the menu, she would look up at him. He seemed so focused, reading his menu. In reality, he was also every so often peaking up at her. Her eyes were shining in the light. Her painted red lips in a genuine happy smile. Her tanned skin seemed to glow from the light. She was so stunning. They ordered their food and stared into each other's eyes. "Did anyone ever tell you just how beautiful your eyes are?" George said, melting her heart. "No, actually," she said. "Really?" George said, surprised. "Well, you have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen," he said. "Yours are so catching," Natalie said. "Like dark diamonds." George chuckled a little. He had never felt this way about a woman. It was like she was so right for him. He didn't want to ask her out right when she had just been broken up with. He also wanted to get to know her more. "Thank you," he said, blushing slightly. After they ate, George left a good tip for the waitress, and they left. "Is there anything you would like to do for some more fun?" George asked. Natalie thought about it for a minute. She had almost completely forgotten about Jasper breaking up with her. "I would love to do something, but I'm not going to lie, I am exhausted," Natalie said. George understood. He was tired, too. "Want me to take you home?" He asked. Natalie nodded. She gave George the address, and he drove her home. He got out of the car and walked her up to the frontstoop. She wrapped him in a warm hug around his neck. He wrapped his arms around her back. "Thank you for everything," she said. George nodded. "Could you wait here a minute?" Natalie asked. "Sure." Natalie ran inside the house and about a minute later came out with a slip of paper. She put it in George's hand and walked back inside. She shut and locked the door and turned and leaned on it a minute before going to bed. George climbed inside his car and opened the slip of paper and saw it was a phone number with a message

Thank you for an amazing night. Call me -Natalie

George smiled and put the slip in his shirt pocket before driving away. That night, Natalie lied in bed, thinking about the handsome stranger who swooped in and saved her night. She didn’t know what she was feeling, but she did know she was hoping he was thinking of her too. In his bed, George was thinking of the woman who was slowly but surely winning his heart.
