As George sat in front of the mirror in the dressing room with Whitney fixing his hair into an elvis looking updo, Morgan came in smiling big. "The arena is packed to the rafters!" She said excitedly. George stood and looked in the mirror at his rhinestone studded outfit. Denim bell bottoms, a button-up black dress shirt, a rhinestone encrusted belt, and a fringe rhinestone jacket. As George listened, he could hear the chatter of fans in the arena. "Is the band ready?" George asked nervously. "Everything is set up and waiting for you," Morgan said. George turned to Whitney. "Hat or no hat?" He asked. Whitney gave him a sharp stare. "I spent thirty minutes working on that head of yours. You better not wear a hat!" She said jokingly. George clipped the microphone pac onto his belt and gave the band the okay to play him in. He usually wasn’t this nervous, but he knew Natalie was here, so he wanted it to be a perfect performance. The band started playing, and he began walking out to the stage. The crowd erupted in cheers as he made his way out, scanning around the front row for Natalie. He saw her close to the stage in front row smiling that stunning smile. He climbed up on stage, and the crowd seemed to grow louder. George took a breath and then grabbed the mic. "Hello, I'm George Taylor," he said, making the crowd grow rowdy with applause. As Natalie watched him in awe, she couldn't help but think of how handsome he looked. George adjusted the microphone and picked up his guitar, and started strumming with the band to a rockabilly song he had written. As he began singing, Natalie's jaw hung open in surprise. He sounded so beautiful. Like an angel.
No time to be tired.
No time to kill.
Workin' my ass off to pay the billsAs he sang, the crowd clung onto every note.
Living day to day with a simple plan
This is the life of a hardworkin' southern man.Natalie was mesmerized by just how stunning he looked and sounded, the light catching his rhinestone studded outfit and his baritone voice echoing through the arena. As he wrapped the first song up, he took off his jacket to reveal a black button-up shirt. Some girls beside Natalie began screaming in delight. He threw the jacket out of his way by the guitar in such a way that it slightly turned Natalie on. He began another upbeat song, and the crowd sang along, but Natalie watched as her man glided across the stage, singing and dancing. George was having the time of his life, and it showed. About two hours after the show began, George finished his last song. A slower song about working hard to make it to heaven. Natalie was moved by the song, and so was everyone else. Some people were in tears, Natalie being one of the many. George walked up to the edge of the stage and bowed. Everyone stood, cheering and clapping. Some people threw roses at him from the back. As he walked out of the arena, people were handing him bouquets of sweet smelling flowers and asking for autographs. He signed papers and merchandise. Backstage, more people came and took pictures with him and got his autograph. After taking a picture with a woman, Natalie walked up, being next in line. "Hey!" George said excitedly. "How was I?" he asked, hoping she liked it. "You were amazing," Natalie said, smiling. "Do you want to hang out for a little while?" He asked. "Sure!" Natalie said. George looked over at Dale. "Take her to the bus." Dale nodded and led Natalie off to the tour bus. She climbed on the bus and stared in awe of how nice it looked. She sat on the leather couch. Dale poured a glass of apple juice and turned to Natalie. "Oh! Thank you," she said, gratefully taking the glass. "Yeah, you're welcome...for the glass of juice I made for you," Dale said dryly, pouring another glass as George climbed on the bus. Dale walked over to him. "She took my juice," he whispered. "It'll be okay," George whispered back, chuckling. Natalie jumped up and hugged him. "That was awesome!" Natalie exclaimed. "Thank you!" George said, still feeling the thrill from the performance. Just then, Morgan walked on the bus with a bottle of champagne. "I have some exciting news, and we need to celebrate!" She said excitedly. George, seeing her excitement, grew even more excited. "Ooh! What is it?" He asked. "We got a bid for you on the thirtieth," Morgan said. George looked at Natalie and Dale in excitement. "Where?" He asked. Morgan looked at him with a big smile, showing off her inner excitement. "The New Orleans Mardi Gras Fair!" She said. George jumped with excitement. "Yes!" He exclaimed triumphantly. The New Orleans Mardi Gras Fair was a fair that stayed for one week in Louisiana, and only the biggest stars played there. One year, Reba McEntire was the star they hired, and the singers were always paid big bucks. George suddenly got curious. "They want me to play for that? How much did they bid?" He asked. Morgan's eyes lit up. "One million dollars!" She said excitedly. "Holy shit!" He exclaimed. "No joke," Morgan said, swearing as if on a court bench. Natalie and George jumped in excitement. "We're millionaires!" Natalie said in shock and excitement. Morgan looked at her smuggly. "Technically Mr Taylor is already a millionaire," she said jealously. Natalie cocked her head curiously. "Well, what's mine is your's," George said staring lovingly into Natalie's beautiful blue eyes. Natalie returned the loving gaze. She felt so lucky to have a man like George. He was perfect in every way.
