Natalie was at prom sitting at a table waiting for Jasper to come. As she had been anxiously waiting over an hour for her boyfriend, he showed no sign of coming. Natalie checked her watch and looked up at Roxanne, who was dancing away with her boyfriend Lenny, having fun. When the song they were dancing to ended, Roxanne walked up to Natalie. "He still hasn't called or texted or anything?" Roxanne asked, feeling bad for Natalie. Natalie looked up at Roxanne as the lights spun all around her, catching Roxanne's dress and her shimmering green eyes. She wore a dress that hugged her tight, showing off her curvy mexican figure. Her long black hair draped down to the middle of her back. "Not yet, Roxy," Natalie said, feeling disappointed. "He always does this to you, and it's not fair, Natalie," Roxanne said, angry for Natalie, who looked as if she were about to cry. "You need to talk to him and tell him you are tired of waiting on him," Roxanne said. Natalie's phone buzzed in her purse. She reached in and pulled it out, and tears formed in her eyes. "That won't be necessary," she said, her voice breaking. Roxanne picked up Natalie's phone. "'Hey, I'm not coming. I'm sorry to tell you this late, but we can't be together. You're too good for me, and I'm not good for you. I've been thinking about this for a while, but I didn't want to hurt you.'" As Roxanne read the text out loud, she grew angry. "What ass breaks up with their girlfriend the day of prom over text!?" She said angrily. Natalie sat there, letting the text simmer on her mind. Roxanne began scanning the room. Natalie noticed and looked at her curiously. "What are you doing, Roxanne?" Natalie asked depressingly. "You aren't going to let this hurt you. Not right now, anyway. So I'm finding someone for you to meet and dance with," Roxanne said. "No one's going to dance with me right now, Roxy," Natalie said, ready to leave. "Someone will," Roxanne said. Her eyes landed on a handsome man across the room wearing a white cowboy hat and blue shirt. "Bingo!" She said. Across the room, George sat at a table, ready to leave, as he wasn't having much fun. Dale had been dancing with two girls and wasn't really paying much attention to George. As he stood up, ready to leave, a beautiful Mexican woman walked over to him. "HI, I'm Roxanne!" She said, outstretching her hand for him to shake. George obliged and shook her hand. "Uh, are you here with anyone?" She asked curiously. "No. Just my friend, but he's a little occupied," George said, motioning to Dale, who was dancing with the two women. "Well, would you mind dancing with a friend of mine? She's had a rough night, but I'm trying to cheer her up," Roxanne explained, hoping he would say yes. "Well," George thought about it for a moment. "She's really fun. And she's sweet and caring," she said, trying to persuade him. "One dance couldn't hurt," she said. "Eh, what the hell. Why not," George said. "Where is she?" Roxanne pointed across the room to a beautiful woman in a turquoise dress sitting alone at a table. George looked in awe at the stunning beauty this woman was. He walked over to her. Natalie looked up and sat up straight. Her eyes locked on the handsome man in front of her. "Hello, I'm George Taylor," he said in a soothing voice that was just as pretty as he was. "I'm Natalie," she said, staring at his gorgeous caramel brown eyes. "If I may ask, why is a beautiful woman such as yourself here alone?" He asked in awe of her beauty. Her heart fluttered a little. "I was supposed to meet my boyfriend here, but he dumped me over text," she explained. "Excuse me, but he sounds like a dick," George said, making Natalie laugh a little. "Yeah. I think I'm just going to leave. No one's going to want to dance with me, and Roxanne's too busy with her boyfriend," Natalie said, standing from her chair. "Well, maybe I'd like to dance with you," George said. Natalie perked up a little. "Really?" She asked in shock. "I'd love to dance with you," he said, making her heart flutter. "Okay," Natalie said, taking his hand. It felt soft but firm in hers. He led her out to the dance floor as a slow dance country song began playing. Neon moon by Brooks and Dunn. As they danced, he somehow made Natalie feel like the only girl in the world. She couldn't take her eyes off of his. Dancing with this girl he just met felt like a fairytale to George. With their eyes locked on each other's, they glided across the dance floor together
