The days that followed were marked by a newfound sense of calm between Katsuki and Izuku. Their conversations had grown more natural, and Katsuki had begun to open up about his struggles more frequently. Although there were still moments of tension, the connection between them was undeniably stronger.

One crisp evening, after a day filled with lectures and training, Izuku found himself restless. He had been wrestling with his own emotions, and the need to express them had become increasingly urgent. The fall weather had created a serene backdrop, and Izuku felt it was the right time to share his feelings.

Izuku decided to take a walk around the campus grounds, his mind focused on the upcoming conversation he had been dreading and anticipating. He made his way to their usual spot on the rooftop, hoping to find some clarity before approaching Katsuki.

As he reached the rooftop, he saw Katsuki already there, sitting on the edge and gazing out at the city lights. Katsuki turned his head as he heard footsteps, his expression shifting from surprise to something softer as he saw Izuku.

“Hey, Izuku,” Katsuki greeted, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity. “What’s up?”

Izuku took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. “I wanted to talk to you about something. Is that okay?”

Katsuki nodded, patting the spot beside him. “Sure. What’s on your mind?”

Izuku sat down next to Katsuki, the cool breeze rustling their hair. He stared out at the cityscape, trying to find the right words. “I’ve been thinking a lot about us, and I realized there’s something I need to tell you.”

Katsuki’s curiosity was piqued. “What is it?”

Izuku’s heart raced as he tried to find the courage to express his feelings. “Kacchan, I… I care about you a lot. More than just as a friend.”

Katsuki looked at him, a mix of surprise and concern in his eyes. “What are you saying, Izuku?”

Izuku turned to face Katsuki, his expression earnest and vulnerable. “I’ve been trying to understand my feelings, and I’ve come to realize that I have strong feelings for you. I don’t want to rush anything or make things awkward, but I needed you to know how I feel.”

Katsuki’s eyes widened, and he looked away, struggling to process the confession. “Izuku, I— I didn’t expect this.”

Izuku reached out, placing a gentle hand on Katsuki’s shoulder. “I know it’s a lot to take in. I just needed to be honest with you. Whatever you feel, whatever you want, I’m here for you.”

Katsuki’s heart pounded as he grappled with the weight of Izuku’s words. His own feelings were tangled in a mess of confusion and uncertainty. He had been opening up more, but the depth of his emotions was something he had yet to fully confront.

“Izuku…” Katsuki’s voice was barely above a whisper. “I don’t know how to handle this. I’ve been trying to sort out my own feelings and… it’s been hard.”

Izuku squeezed Katsuki’s shoulder gently, offering a reassuring smile. “You don’t have to have all the answers right now. I’m not asking for anything specific. I just wanted you to know where I stand.”

Katsuki took a deep breath, his mind racing as he tried to reconcile his feelings with Izuku’s confession. “I don’t want to push you away or mess things up. I just… I need time to figure things out.”

Izuku nodded, his smile unwavering despite the uncertainty. “Take all the time you need, Kacchan. I’m here for you, no matter what.”

The two sat in silence for a while, the city lights flickering below them as they both absorbed the weight of the conversation. Katsuki was overwhelmed by the intensity of his emotions, but he felt a flicker of hope amidst the confusion.

As the evening drew to a close, Izuku stood up, stretching slightly. “I should get going. I just wanted to make sure you knew how I felt.”

Katsuki stood as well, his gaze still fixed on the cityscape. “Thanks for being honest with me, Izuku. I appreciate it.”

Izuku nodded, giving Katsuki a final reassuring smile before heading towards the door. “I’ll see you around, Kacchan.”

Katsuki watched Izuku leave, his thoughts a whirlwind of emotions. He knew that the path ahead would be challenging, but he also understood that he needed to confront his feelings honestly. The confession had opened a new chapter in their relationship, and Katsuki was determined to navigate it with the same honesty and vulnerability that Izuku had shown.

As Katsuki remained on the rooftop, the cool night air seemed to offer him a sense of clarity. He was beginning to realize that the journey ahead was not just about understanding his own feelings but also about embracing the support and connection he had with Izuku.

The days to come would be filled with conversations, reflections, and the continued exploration of their evolving relationship. But for now, Katsuki felt a renewed sense of determination to face his emotions head-on and to honor the bond that had brought him and Izuku closer together.
