The rumors about Katsuki and Izuku’s relationship continued to spread like wildfire, making their attempts at discretion increasingly difficult. Izuku’s concern for Katsuki grew with each passing day, and his determination to uncover the truth about Mitsumi’s influence intensified. Shoto, who had remained a close confidant, also noticed the changes in Katsuki and grew increasingly suspicious.
One evening, after a particularly grueling day of classes, Izuku and Shoto decided to visit Katsuki at the dorm. Izuku had noticed that Katsuki’s attempts to hide his injuries were becoming less effective, and he was determined to find out what was really happening. Shoto, sensing that something was seriously wrong, agreed to accompany Izuku.
As they approached Katsuki’s dorm room, they heard muffled voices and the sounds of a heated argument coming from inside. Izuku exchanged a worried glance with Shoto before they knocked on the door.
“Katsuki?” Izuku called out, his voice tinged with concern. “Are you in there?”
There was no immediate response, only the sound of shouting and the thud of something hitting the floor. Izuku’s heart raced as he pushed the door open, and what they saw left them both in shock.
Mitsumi was standing over Katsuki, her face twisted in anger as she delivered a brutal beating. Katsuki, barely conscious, was crumpled on the floor, his face battered and bruised. His breathing was ragged, and it was clear that the abuse had taken a severe toll on him.
Izuku’s eyes widened in horror, and Shoto’s expression hardened with rage. Without hesitation, they rushed into the room, pushing Mitsumi away from Katsuki.
“What the hell is going on here?” Shoto demanded, his voice filled with fury.
Mitsumi’s head snapped around, her face a mask of surprise and defiance. “This is none of your business. Katsuki needs to learn to prioritize his future over his… distractions.”
Izuku’s eyes burned with anger as he knelt beside Katsuki, gently cradling his head. “You can’t do this! This isn’t how you handle things!”
Mitsumi’s face remained unyielding, her tone cold and unrepentant. “He’s been disobeying me. He needs to understand the consequences of his actions.”
Shoto stepped forward, his voice steady but filled with determination. “You’re crossing a line, Mitsumi. This is abuse, and it needs to stop.”
As Shoto spoke, Izuku carefully examined Katsuki’s injuries, his hands trembling with concern. Katsuki’s eyes fluttered open briefly, and he managed a faint smile despite the pain. “Izuku… Shoto…”
Izuku’s heart ached at the sight of Katsuki’s suffering. “Kacchan, we’re going to get you out of here. Just hang on.”
Shoto’s expression was a mix of anger and compassion as he addressed Mitsumi. “You need to leave. We’re taking Katsuki to get help.”
Mitsumi’s expression remained defiant, but she knew when she was outnumbered. With one last scathing look, she stormed out of the room, leaving Izuku and Shoto alone with Katsuki.
Izuku’s hands were gentle as he helped Katsuki to his feet, though Katsuki winced in pain. “We need to get you to the infirmary. You’re hurt badly.”
Shoto nodded in agreement, his eyes filled with concern. “Let’s go. We’ll get you the care you need.”
As they carefully guided Katsuki out of the dorm and towards the infirmary, Izuku stayed close, his hand supporting Katsuki’s shoulders. Katsuki leaned heavily on him, the pain evident in every step.
The journey to the infirmary was a blur of worry and urgency. Once they arrived, Recovery Girl’s expression turned from concern to shock as she saw Katsuki’s injuries. She immediately began tending to him, her hands moving with practiced efficiency as she worked to address his wounds.
Izuku and Shoto stood to the side, their worry palpable as they watched Recovery Girl work. The gravity of Mitsumi’s abuse had hit them hard, and they knew that Katsuki’s well-being was their top priority.
Recovery Girl looked up from her work, her expression serious. “He’s going to need some time to recover. The injuries are severe, but with proper care, he’ll heal.”
Izuku nodded, his eyes never leaving Katsuki. “Thank you. We’ll stay with him.”
As Recovery Girl continued her treatment, Izuku and Shoto took a moment to talk quietly in a corner of the infirmary.
“We need to do something about Mitsumi,” Shoto said, his voice low but filled with resolve. “This isn’t acceptable.”
Izuku agreed, his eyes filled with determination. “We need to make sure Katsuki is safe and get the truth out. Mitsumi can’t keep getting away with this.”
Their resolve was strengthened by the events of the evening. They knew that Mitsumi’s actions were not only a personal betrayal but also a serious issue that needed to be addressed. As they returned to Katsuki’s side, their commitment to supporting him and ensuring his safety remained unwavering.
Katsuki, despite his injuries, managed a weak smile as he looked at his friends. “Thanks… for being here. I didn’t want to drag you into this…”
Izuku shook his head, his expression firm. “You don’t have to go through this alone, Kacchan. We’re here for you, no matter what.”
Shoto nodded in agreement, his voice steady. “We’ll face this together. We won’t let Mitsumi’s abuse go unchecked.”
As the night wore on and Katsuki’s wounds were treated, Izuku and Shoto stayed by his side, determined to support him through the challenging times ahead. Their friendship was a beacon of hope in the face of Mitsumi’s cruelty, and they were committed to helping Katsuki find a way to overcome the obstacles in his path.
