Chapte Twenty-Three

Y/n's breath hitched as the words left the doctor's lips.

"Congratulations It's a girl."

With that one phrase horrible memories began to flash through her mind making it hard for her to breathe. Tears welt up in her eyes as all she could see now only see what happened to her that horrid day she lost a piece of herself.

*Flash back*

"Congratulations It's a girl."

The words left the doctor's lips and she saw the drop in his face. He looked down before looking back at her again. This time there was only fury in his eyes. Red rage that she knew she would not escape.

Before she could even start pleading her head snapped to the other side as a stinging sensation cover her cheek

"You were able to give that basturd a son but not me? Me your fxcking husband?! You whxre!" He yelled as he smacked her twice as hard this time.

The doctor stood off to the side watching with pity. Though he was a shady man himself he could not say he didn't feel bad for this poor woman... he knew he couldn't help either otherwise before he knew it he would be buried six feet under beside his beloved parents.

Y/N let out a loud whimper as she was yanked off the bed by her hair and thrown onto the floor. She tried to fight him off wanting to protect not just herself but her baby too.

She tried with all her might but it the end it was proven useless as she was left all battered and bruised on the floor. Bleeding out with no help until the life in her stomach slowly faded away.

"Miss Y/N please calm down. What's the matter?" The doctor asked in panic as she began to hyperventilate.

He tried to comfort her by putting a hand on her shoulder but she shrank away to the corner of the bed. Tears streamed down her face as she thought about that day.

She didn't want it to happen again. She couldn't let it happen again. She hugged her stomach protectively. She was not going to let anything to happen to the baby this time.

"Miss, please calm down." The doctor pleaded but she still didn't.

He tried to step closer but that made her cower back even more. The memories of that day were the only things that played in her mind.

"No please... not again... I beg you." She cried, pleading with her teary eyes for him not to come ant closer.

The doctor seeing this stepped back and whipped out his phone to call the only person he thought could help her through this. Hyunjin. They talked for a minute or two before he hung up.

It wasn't even ten minutes before a panicked Hyunjin busted through the door. He had been on his way back from a mission when he recieved the call from the doctor about Y/N's condition.

He took small steps toward her until he's about a foot away from the bed. He signaled the doctor to leave and when he was out Hyunjin turned back to Y/N.

"Y/N..." He called to gain her attention.

When she looked up hw felt his heart clench at her tear soaked face. The twi of them stared at each other for a couple of minutes before what seemed to be recognition flashed through her eyes.

"Hyunjin?" She whispered in a frightened voice.

"Yes, it's me Y/N." He spoke softly as he took one step forward.

"Can I come closer?" He asked and it took her a couple of seconds to nod.

Her nodding was hesitant but she remembered that this was the man who saved her and her children. He provided them with a warm and safe place.

Hyunjin walked closer and sat on the edge of the bed. He didn't say anything as he watched her. He felt that he didn't need to say anything. His presence was all she needed. Minutes passed as they just sat like that until Y/N crawled a little closer to him.

Hyunjin didn't expect this but he didn't say anything. After a few more minutes she came even close and sat beside him. The tears had also stopped. The two of them sat in a comfortable silence until Hyunjin wrapped his arm around her. She leaned her head against his shoulder for more comfort.

Hyunjin could only wonder what had happened to upset her so much.

I'm honestly so sorry for the lack of updates. Life seems to be playing with me these days and this situation I'm in has been going on for almost 10 months now. When I think that things are getting better they get worse and I feel unmotivated to do anything. Please bear with me. I'll update when I can.
