Y/N opened her eyes as she heard the door open. She slowly sat up as she noticed that man Hyunjin walk inside with a tray of food.

"I'm sorry I woke you. I didn't know that you were still sleeping." He apologised quietly, not wanting to wake the kids up.

"It's okay. I-I wasn't sleeping anyway." She answered just as quietly.

It had been about a week now since he brought her and her children here. She had let a little bit of her guard down around him since he hadn't done anything to scare her.

"You know you can explore the house Y/N... you and the kids don't need to stay cooped up in here." Hyunjin said suddenly making her look at him.

She didn't say anything for about a minute just thinking about what he had said.

"C-can I ask you something?" She asked to which Hyunjin nodded as he sat down. It took her a couple of seconds to build up her courage to speak again.

"W-why are you doing this?" Y/N finally asked.

Throughout the week that passed this question lingered in her mind. She did no understand why he was being so nice and caring to her. Why he decided to save her and her children. She knew it couldnt just be from the kindness of his heart because if that was the case then he would have helped all those other poor girls.

"Doing what?" He asked not really sure what she was talking about.

"Helping us... I-I don't even know you but you are here going out of your way to provide for my children and I. Why did you save us..." She elaborated, sounding a little braver than before.

Hyunjin just stared at her for a few seconds before speaking again. He had to think very carefully about his words because the doctor said they could not tell her anything about her past which she did not remember. She had to remember on her own.

"I-it's the least I can do after what has happened to you... a-after... after what I-I did..." he responded quietly and noticed how her eyes flicked to her sleeping son before quickly looking away.

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she stared at him. After what he did? What did he do? Did she know him before?

"A-and what did you do?" She hesitantly asked.

Hyunjin's eyes met with hers but he did not say anything. She caught the hurt that lingered in them.

"I did something very bad and unforgivable... something that I will never forgive myself doing. You deserved so much better but I couldn't see that and for that I am very sorry." He told her, not exactly answering her question which left her in more confusion.

"D-did we know each other before?" She asked after a few seconds of contemplating.

Hyunjin just nodded his head not saying anything more as he stood up and walked toward the door.

"I come back later... please eat before the food gets cold." He said, his voice way quieter than before.

She stared at the door for a couple of more seconds before looking and the food and grabbing the try. She slowly took a bite before melting at the wonderful flavours of the food.

Before this she had never tasted such great food. That horrible man she called a husband never allowed her or her son any fresh food. It was always a couple of days old. He never treated her half as good as Hyunjin was treating her.

Speaking of Hyunjin she could help but to wonder what he had done wrong. Was it really that horrible that he couldn't look at her in the eyes with out his face contorting in horrible guilt.

"Mommy..." She heard her son call which made her snap out of her thoughts to look at him.

Soon she realized that her was not actually lucid and was still sleeping. Her heart began to race as she picked him up and cradled him in her arms.

"It's okay baby... mommy is here. You are safe... no one will ever help sweetheart." She whispered in his ear and kissed his forehead.

The boy soon relaxes making her sigh in relief. All she wanted was for her children to have a better life and hopefully now they would.

"Are you ready?" Hyunjin asked and Y/N couldn't help but to hesitantly nod.

One part of her was happy that she took Hyunjin's offer but the other couldn't help but to worry. What if this was a trap and she was leading herself and her children to their deaths.

Her hands began to slightly shake at the thought and that is when Hyunjin noticed her hesitation.

"Y/N I promise that you and your children are safe. Nothing is going to happen to any of you. I will protect you all with my life if I have to." He told her making her look at him and nod.

Even though there was still worry in her she placed a little bit of her trust in him. He hadn't done anything to hurt her or her children do far so why not believe him in this.

"O-okay let's go." She said grabbed his free hand with her free hand.

The action caught him by surprise but he held back his reaction as he began leading them out the room. Y/N's heart began to race as she pulled her son even closer as they walked. Her eyes looking down at him before drifting toward her daughter who was securely in Hyunjin's hold.

It didn't take long before they reached their destination.

I'm sorry that it took me so long to update. I've been really busy and there was something wrong with the plot so I had to fix it. The next chapter will be out either late Monday or early Tuesday or even sooner than that.

Thank you for being patient and all the support for this book.
