- FINGERS CROSSED -

summary:
most love stories are not all black and white. happily ever afters and fairytale endings are hard to come by. liz and peter believed they found their forever, it all seemed like something straight out of a movie... until it didn't

word count:
  12.1k... (yeah... twelve thousand)
um, i got a li'l carried away... might wanna read in sections... or grab a snack... and a tent 'cause you might be here awhile...

author's note:
i started writing this back in january i think and every time i get the urge to write something angsty, it ends up here, so...

this is originally inspired by the song, 'Fingers Crossed' by Lauren Spencer Smith, but other good songs i've listened to while writing this are 'Smoke & Mirrors' by Demi Lovato, 'Carefully' by Ben Platt, 'I Love You, I'm Sorry' by Gracie Abrams 'Waiting Room' by Phoebe Bridgers 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi and 'Way Too Good At Goodbyes' by Sam Smith, in case you wanted to cry even harder!

li'l disclaimer, this doesn't have anything to do with my story, i just had an idea and peter and liz happened to be the victims of said idea... they're actually off in thailand living out their traveling dreams :)

i also wanted to add a big thank you to everyone who's commented on this series because re-reading through it makes it a hundred times funnier and makes me love my books even more so thank you, thank you, thank you!

and of course i had to make another mood board because, well, i wanted to and i do what i want

introduced me to your family
watched my favorite shows on your tv
made me breakfast in the morning
when you got home from work

making plans to travel 'round the world
said we'd always put each other first
old love songs we used to play to
funny, now, i hate you

THERE WASN'T SOMETHING so close to heaven as weekends. The days Liz got to sleep in, letting her stress drift away as the smell of bacon filled the atmosphere of her California apartment.

Liz and Peter had essentially the same schedule. They both woke up early, Liz for her morning classes at Berkeley and Peter for his daily patrolling over San Francisco. Then they'd make it home late, cuddle up on the couch with some take out and head to bed shortly after.
