Chapter 26 | | Challenges Along The Way

Today, Isabel decided to finish training with the pups. She played many games, and then decided to introduce challenges in the wild to the pups. The mother knew that some of the challenges would probably scare the pups, but she wanted her children to overcome their fears of being alone in the wild.

Isabel started off by introducing challenges to everyone. She introduced animals, places, evil and kind, anything you could think of. She explained it in great detail, not missing a single word or even messing up.

Some of the pups got scared to some things, but others didn't. Most of the pups got scared of the evil and some of them got scared of giant, wild animals that might beg them as prey for food. Isabel continued speaking. She came to the end of it and all the pups were cuddled near their mom.

"Don't worry. This is the reason why I taught you that. Do you pups want to learn some skills to overcome those challenges?"

Isabel said, getting closer to the pups and their mom. Just then, Isabel heard a hiss. She turned around to find a giant slithery snake waiting for her outside of the cave. She wanted to fight, but she was too scared and frozen.

"This is a great time to practice!"

Isabel whined. She looked towards the pups and their mother. She decided to fight the snake herself. She jumped on the snakes head, biting and clawing it up. The snake was hissing and suddenly threw Isabel off of it.

The snake turned around and continued to betray Isabel. Isabel started crying and screaming, until the mother had an idea. Isabel watched as the mother grabbed a stick and started whipping the snake with it. Isabel had enough time to get up, so she continued to fight.

"Back away. I must do this on my own. Go protect the pups before this giant monster gets to them."

Isabel said with fire in her eyes. She took the stick from the mother and stabbed it into the snakes spit. She watched as the snake coughed up blood. It slithered away and Isabel turned back to the pups.

"Alright. Is everyone okay?"

Isabel asked. The mother didn't answer. The pups were mad at Isabel just for trying to help them. Isabel knew that this was about to be another battle. The mother jumped up from the ground with heat in her eyes.

"You could've gotten me or my pups killed."

The mother growled, skating towards Isabel. She wanted to fight, but Isabel didn't want to hurt her. She dodged each attack until the pups started to go after her too. Isabel screeched for help, but no one came.

The mother and her pups started to hurt Isabel, making her fall to the ground. The mother and her pups laughed with evil, and Isabel was almost knocked out. Isabel jumped to the ground, knowing that this was probably one of the worst battles ever.

She didn't want to fight.

She wanted to live a happy life.

She wanted peace for the rest of her life.
