Chapter 6 | | The First Night

"Isabel, Isabel, Issy," 

I saw Granny in the darkness approaching me. 

"Save our pack, Issy. It's dying,"

Those strong words echoed through the darkness and Isabel was frightened. 

"Don't be scared. It's your Granny." 

Isabel was silent. She didn't know what to say. She finally opened her mouth and told her Granny everything of what had happened to her. 

"Granny, are you still there?"

Isabel asked. Her Granny walked up to her and hugged Isabel. Granny disappeared back into Wolf Heaven.

Isabel woke up. Her eyes were bigger than an eagles and she was confused. 

"What just happened?" 

Isabel asked as she tried to scratch her ear.

"SILENCE! NO TALKING IS ALLOWED!"

A guard proceeded with his work and Isabel sat back down. 

Was that a dream? 

Isabel thought, wondering what had just happened to her and where her Granny was. She continued planning her escape and realized that it would be another night until Isabel would be out of The Echoed Dungeons. 

"What will I do now?" 

Isabel whispered as the guard pulled out his baton and slid open Isabel's door. 

"You're lesson will be learned after this. Also, never talk in The Echoed Dungeons again." 

The guard yelled. He started to whip Isabel on the paws with the baton. Isabel was whining and crying for help.

"I'll get out of here someday!"

She screamed with hope. 

"And I'll stop that evil, ferocious alpha once I escape!"

The guard growled and decided that it was time. 

"I'm getting the alpha to talk to you!"

He mumbled. 

"I don't care."

Isabel replied with confidence. 

"Then I'll make you care." 

"How will you make me if you cannot control me?" 

The room went silent. The guard slammed the door and ran for the alpha. Isabel knew that she cared about being confronted by the alpha, but now there was no way of going back and stopping the guard from doing so.
