Isabel snuck away, feeling sorry for herself. She stared at the ground, knowing that her new friends had betrayed her. She stared at the necklace Grannie gave her and cried. A tear landed on the necklace, making it suddenly slip off of Isabel's neck.
It raised in the air, crashing to the ground. It was broken until Grannie appeared as a ghost again. Grannie growled with a frown, knowing what Isabel did. Isabel stood up, walking towards Grannie.
"Please forgive me, Grannie."
Isabel said, chipping away at an almost destroyed rock. She picked up a stick, drawing map in the muddy pile of dirt. Grass blew away in the sky and flowers reappeared.
Spring was finally coming. After a long winter, Isabel had enough. She wanted the freedom that every wolf, big and small, evil or kind to have. Everyone deserved freedom. Isabel's whole pack was the biggest of all and they were slaves!
Grannie looked into Isabel's eyes. She felt bad for her, so she decided to comfort her. With Grannie's tickles and cute hugs, Isabel calmed herself down. She smiled as Grannie fainted away while Isabel continued to hug.
Isabel went back to the mother and her pups. She didn't know what to say. The pups and their evil mother betrayed Isabel with no hope.
"I don't know how to say this. I am sorry for hurting you. The snake was unexpected, but you can say no to being friends again."
Isabel said. The mother frowned, turning to her pups. They had a private conversation and talked about if Isabel was the right or wrong wolf to choose. The pups didn't trust Isabel, but knowing that she could help save the family, the pups said yes.
Isabel and the mother talked in private.
"The pups want to trust you."
The mother said.
"I don't think we should train them about anything else."
Isabel nodded, accepting their hearts and their souls. Isabel calmed down, her eyes felt like ice raining from the sky. She felt so useful, in a way she couldn't explain. In a way no one could explain.
Isabel joined in, playing safe games along the way. She smiled as the darkness of the sky snapped into place. They went along to find a new cave. A dark, perfect cave stood over the top of the hills on a cliff. Isabel ran over as the mother and the pups followed her.
They sniffed around the cave, wondering if an animal lived there. Later on, they fell asleep. Like always, Isabel stood over the cave's cliff, writing to her Grannie and every step of the process to becoming an alpha.
"Grannie, do you think I can get stronger and stop the evil alpha? Do you seriously think that my pack would choose me to be the new alpha?"
Isabel whispered, her eyes closing in with tears. Every step Isabel took was one extra idea of how to get stronger. Every step was one way closer to an easy path.
"Dear Grannie,
Thank you so much for helping me become friends with the mother and her cute pups. I must owe you, but I don't know how. I wanted to gift you with something special, but I don't know what you'd like."
Just then, a sudden flash appeared around her, making it hard to see. It looked like a glitch inside a video game, although it was spinning around repeatedly. Isabel watched as the strange creature surrounded her, trapping the pups and the mother into the cave. Isabel felt dizy. She collapsed to the ground as the wind blew in her face.
It was so hard to breathe and the air was chocking her. Isabel's heart sunk into her throat, making it even harder to breathe. She stared at the strange glitch. She didn't know what was happening.
