It was just a kiss. That is what I've been trying to convince Bridgette at least.
I don't understand why she would want to get a new tutor.
I mean, I kind of understand it. Even if we say it was a mistake and move on, there will still be that awful awkward feeling in the room.
I mean of course it would be awkward, I'm still thinking about that kiss.
I can't lose the thought. I've been trying to forget about it, but I can't.
How is she such a good kisser even when she's drunk? I don't even like her, yet I constantly keep thinking about that kiss.
Also, it really hurts to not be able to talk to her anymore.
We were just starting to get along, just becoming friends. But now she never texts me back and avoids me in school hallways.
She's already gotten a new tutor. 'Noah Crest', when I talked to Alice about it the only thing she could talk about was how much she hates that kid.
She kept mentioning that he has wanted to be valedictorian since he was a little kid, just like her. Apparently she hates him just because he's smart just like her, huh?
I mean I dislike the kid because he doesn't study for a career, he does it for bragging rights and it's kind of annoying. But I don't hate his guts or anything. Although, I guess it isn't the worst reason to hate someone.
I cannot stop thinking about Bridgette, no matter how much I try she just will not leave my head. Like get out, your not paying rent.
I kind of miss her. Fuck, do I like her?
------------------Bridgette's POV------------------
Noah Crest. That's my new tutor. I hate him so much.
And not even for a logical reason, he just doesnt explain things well. Why the hell is this guy a tutor when he sucks ass? I wanna rip his head off.
I know it's my own fault for getting a new tutor but still..shouldnt a tutor know how to teach?
Tutoring sessions with Noah is more like just studying together rather than him teaching me, ugh. He's so annoying.
"Time's up." Noah says after saying absolutely nothing for the past two hours. "Time to go home."
Yeah. Thanks for teaching me absolutely fucking nothing.

The next day, after I leave english class, I notice Mateo talking to Marcus Sterling. He cant see me, until Marcus leaves me and it becomes very obvious that im watching him.
I quickly run away. Only a few minutes later when I thought I lost him, I turn a hallway and see him right in front of me. Leaning against the wall, staring at me.
I try to turn around and walk away but he grabs my wrist and pulls me into a nearby empty classroom.
"What are you doing?" I yell.
"Why the hell are you avoiding me?"
"I- im not." I say.
"Dont fucking lie to me." He scolded. "I've texted you multiple times and no answer. Everytime you see me in the halls you run away. Why are you avoiding me?"
"Because." I reply before taking a pause.
"Because..what?"
"Nothing." I say. "Im leaving-"
Except I cant because Mateo grabs my arm and pins me up against the wall, crashing his lips to mine. Its slow at first but then its not anymore, its hard and fast like he's devouring me.
Not what I was expecting to happen today but, im not complaining.
He hoists me up and hooks my legs around his waist, carrying me over to the nearest desk.
But then, the fucking bell rings.
Cock block.
He looks up. "Are you kidding me? Right now?"
I laugh. As Im leaving, Mateo says "Bridgette?"
"Yeah?" I ask nervously.
"We still need to talk, later."
"Of course, yeah." I respond before leaving for my art class.
Despite all of this stuff happening with Mateo, I still haven't told Lacy about any of it.
How do you just say to your lifetime bestfriend, "Hey so I made out with your brother." What?

"I still dont think you should be my tutor anymore." I say.
He just stares. "Why?"
"I already told you why." I respond. "And what happened earlier today just further proves my point."
