CHAPTER 27 - NO!

All it took to convince Mateo to come to a party with me was a single blowjob.

"Fine." He grunted, taking pity on me. "I'll go to the party with you."

"I knew you would say yes." I said against his chest.

"Yeah, you tricked me again." He ran his fingers through my hair. "And sooner or later, you're going to pay."

I frowned. "Somehow I knew you would figure out that I was tricking you."

"Mhm." I don't think he heard what I said as he cuddled up next to me and laid his head face down on my chest.

"Mateo?"

"Yes, beautiful?"

"I love you."

He lifted his head to give me a short and sweet kiss on the lips. "I love you too, baby."

"Baby?" Stay calm, Bridgette. Stay fucking calm.

He pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arms around me. "Yup."

God, I loved him so much.

I was so delirious with love. Mateo had made me realize what love actually was. I had never experienced this kind of love before. Matthew was my FIRST love. Mateo was my first LOVE.

Back when Mateo and I first made things official, he had specifically asked me not to ask him any weird questions that girlfriends often ask their boyfriends. So I decided to do just that.

"Mateo."

"Hmm?"

"Would you love me if I was a worm?"

"Bridgette go to sleep."

"But-"

"Shhh." He started playing with my hair. "Come here, baby."

I cuddled up against him and he kissed my forehead. "But hypothetically if I was a-"

He cut me off with a kiss. "Go to sleep, beautiful."

"You're having fun, admit it."

Mateo groaned. "I'm not having fun, I hate parties."

I climbed onto his lap and kissed him. "Maybe I can fix that."

"Bridgette.." His protests morphed into a groan as I kissed his neck, sucking on his sensitive skin.

"Bridgette." He stopped me. "You are not about to give me a hickey in public."

"Not a pda person?"

"No." He replied. "I find it repulsive. I dont understand why some people want to makeout in public places."

"Says the person who fucked me against the wall of the school band room." I whispered.

He glared. "I meant like- in front of people."

Suddenly Lacy sauntered up to the couch we were sitting on to find me still on Mateo's lap.

"Get a room." She joked, playfully slapping my shoulder.

Mateo gave me a 'see, im not the only one' kind of look.

"So." Lacy looked at Mateo. "How is your first party?"

"I have been offered a drink sixteen times." He responded. "You'd think people would have gotten the hint at this point."

"You've really never drinked before?" I asked.

"No, and I don't ever plan to."

"You cant knock it till you try it." Lexus said as she walked up to us and held out a shot of vodka.

He just glared at it until she gave up.

"Fine, more for me." She exclaimed, pouring the alcohol down her throat.

He turned back to me with a look of disgust. "Gross."

"You guys are so cute." Lexus said in awe. "I knew it from day one."

"I know." I huffed. "I had to learn that during a very precious moment."

"I still need that story time."

"I dont." Lacy gave a look of disgust before taking a sip of her drink. "I dont want a single detail. I dont wanna know."

I laughed and looked at Mateo. "Lexus actually predicted it like literally from day one, and Lacy said word for word, 'Please dont date my brother. I would love for you to be my sister but I would rather you become gay and date Alice if it means you wouldnt date Mateo'.

"I cant believe you remembered that."

"I cant believe you would rather Bridgette date Alice." Mateo stated.

Mateo continued to talk with Lacy as I excused myself to use the bathroom.

I was on my way when suddenly a hand pulled me into a near bedroom. He locked the door and clamped a hand over my mouth so I couldnt scream when I realized who it was.

"NO!" But no sound came out.
