I was running late as I rushed into the Coffee Hut to get my morning latte. I'd over slept after a night of strange dreams that I couldn't quiet rmember. I joined the small line in front of me and started to feel like something was different about the place this morning. There was a strange atmosphere inside. It sent a tingling down my spine and made my head buzz. As I went to make my order goosebumps sprung up on my arms sending a shiver through my whole body. The young girl serving behind the counter smiled at me politely. I'd been coming in here for the past 3 years almost every morning yet there was no sign of recognition "So what can I get you" she asked oblivious to my obvious discomfort. No one else in the small diner seamed to be feeling the same effects as me. I looked around at the other patrons, everything seamed normal until I found myself staring into a pair of angry green eyes that I hadn't seen in a long time.
Time seemed to stop and I began to recognise the feelings I'd had since walking in. The pull was almost magnetic and I had already taken a couple of small steps towards Dean Winchester before I caught myself.
"Miss would you like to order?" The que was starting to build up behind me but I couldn't tear my gaze away from the hypnotic stare. "Miss are you OK?"
The bell above the entrance chimed causing Dean to finally brake our eye contact as he looked to see who had entered. Coffee forgotten and Dean's spell on me finally broken I mumbled my apologies and pushed my way outside. I thought I heard him shout out but the need to flee drove me down the street not looking or caring in which direction I ran. Something hard brought me to an abrupt stop nearly knocking me on my ass.
I looked up and up and up. The man I had ran into was tall. If my head wasn't swimming with images of Dean I would have probably found him cute. He let out a nervous laugh "are you OK, you should probably watch were your going" his tone wasn't chastising in fact he sounded genuinely concerned.
"Im so sorry. I didn't see you"
"So where's the fire" he smiled down at me revealing a row of straight white teeth which stood out against his tanned skin. His hazel eyes were warm and friendly although slightly obscured by his floppy brown hair.
"No fire, just general avoidance"
He laughed "crazy ex?"
"Something like that, I should go I'm running late enough as it" I looked around to get my bearings seeing that I had ran the opposite way to the museum where I worked. With a sigh of resignation I turned and started to retrace my steps. Not only would this path lead me back past the Coffee Hut but I had also embarrassingly ended up waking next to the large man I had just barrelled into.
I hadn't seen Dean in years but it doesn't mean I hadn't thought about him. The instant connection between us was clearly still there and just as strong. Seeing him again after so long stirred feelings in me I thought I had locked down tight a long time ago.
"I'm Sam by the way" the man carried on our conversation ignoring the awkward situation. I let out a relived laugh thankful to get my mind away from the green eyed devil "I'm Amy, nice to meet you Sam"
He looked down at me as we walked "This is gonna sound like a cheesy line but do I know you from somewhere, you seem really familiar"
"Yep" I laughed "definitely cheesy but no sorry I don't think we've met"
He laughed nervously and a pink blush stained his cheeks "I promise I've got better lines than that" we had drawn level with the diner and Sam slowed down outside the doorway. I wanted to just keep walking and put the place as far behind me as possible but I politely stopped, making sure I couldn't be seen through the window "Well it was nice to meet you Sam but I really am late for work" I started to walk away when Sam called out "Hey Amy, whoever he is hes not worth it, and trust me running away is never the answer" he turned and disappeared through the door. Shit this place does great lattes but I guessed I was going to have to find somewhere else to get my morning fix from now on. There was no way I would risk running into Dean again.

Dean had been thinking about Amy all morning. It wasn't unusual for his mind to wonder to the girl that broke his heart but last night had been full of strange dreams. He was with Amy in a cold empty space. She wasn't the Amy he once knew, this Amy was all grown up. Two invisible forces were waring with themselves, both tried to push them together and tear them apart at the same time. He was calling her name but no sound came out. The distance between them started to grow when suddenly a fierce force had slammed into his back causing him to hurtle forwards towards Amy. As he engulfed her in his arms a feeling of peace washed over him like he had never felt before. He had woken up covered in sweat the cheap motel sheets tangled around him.
He knew the instant Amy entered, like his mind had managed to conjure her with his thoughts. He watched as she joined the que for the counter. She looked exactly as she had in his dream. Her curls where shorter but still long enough to fall around her shoulders just begging for him to wrap them around his fist. She wore a grey suit jacket and matching skirt. The colour may have been drab but the way the jacket pinched in at her small waist and her skirt hugged every curve of her ass was anything but boring.
He saw her shiver as she reached the counter and slowly look around clearly uncomfortable. It irritated him that even after such a long time she could still effect him this way. He couldn't forget the last words she had said to him I hate you Dean Winchester. Well get in line sweetheart and join the que. When she finally saw him and their eyes met he forgot to breathe, he couldn't look away. He leaned forwards slightly in his seat an invisible force pulling him towards her. He had to force himself to lean back. The bell above the door broke the spell and he glanced towards it thinking it was his brother Sam. When he looked back Amy was pushing past the people in line behind her, trying to make her escape. He knew he shouldn't go after her, he had let her go a long time ago but his body responded by itself. He raised himself up to his feet and called out her name but she didn't stop she just rushed out the door and disappeared into the street. He sat back down heavily and ran his hands through his short spikey hair.
It wasn't long before Sam joined him "Hey what's up with you, you look like you've seen a ghost" his brother smirked as he took a seat.
"Ha ha not funny Sam"
"Seriously Dean you look like shit are you OK" Sam looked worried.
Not sure how to answer Dean resorted to his default setting, brushing off Sam's concerns with humour "Wow Sammy it's a little early for all these compliments dont you think. I know you think I'm pretty but buy me a coffee first"
"Ha ha Dean your hilarious" Sam deadpanned back. "So how did things go last night with Leslie, I didnt hear you come in and you were still pretty out if it when I left to go to the library this morning"
"How do you think it went" Dean wiggled his eyebrows at his brother and mimed squeezing a pair of boobs "I've managed to get myself an invite to the ball Sammy"
"Yeah well we're gonna have to figure a way to get me in cause there's no way you can lay your hands on that blade without help"
"And your sure this Onimani... onimu..this damn onion sword is gonna help me out of my deal"
Sam sighed "weve been over this Dean. The Onimaru Kunisuna is supposed to have the power to drive away evil spirits. The Japanese call it the 'Sword of the Demon' without the Colt its the best chance we've got of killing Lilith. It's just arrived at the museum, it's not even on display yet, that's why we both need to be at that charity thing, so I can grab it while you keep Leslie occupied"
"Oh Sammy I can keep her occupied all night" Dean gave Sam a knowing wink "but this better not be another wild goose chase, I'm running out of time here and I can think of much better things to do than hanging out at some stuffy museum" Dean's mind immediately conjured the image of Amy.
"Look, Leslie's Dad is a board member and you've worked on her long enough" Sam ignored his brothers sniggers "to bag your self an invite so we're already halfway there. Let's just keep looking for a way to get me in and in the mean time why don't we go down to the museum see if we can find out we're they will be keeping the collection"
"OK Sam sounds like a plan, but first" Dean help up a single finger and looked around to get the waitresses attention "Bacon"
