At the start of the next year, I was practising with my lightsaber, letting my mind wander a little to remember the break. It had only ended a couple of weeks before, but it was a great time. I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, just catching up. Kriy was excited to start her new school and was looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends. She was telling me about everyone from her old school and some of the boys she thought were cute, a couple of girls too, to be fair. Other times Emmi, Eron and I would just spend time together, not training, no Jedi talk, just being average people. Well as much as we could be as we were Jedi trainees and could feel the world through the force. There were many times Eron, and I would just sit together watching people go by, or looking at the stars, just happy being with each other. One day we made the trip to Alox's hometown, and he gave us a tour. He still had friends from his younger school, so we got to meet them. I was happy he had friends from his younger school, I only ever had one. It was a great time that I needed to refresh before another year at the academy.

"Hay, Josy, you there." Said Emmi trying to get my attention. I had started in a large open field just relaxing.

"Oh, sorry, just reminiscing."

"Yeah, that's fair. It was a great break."

It's always strange when she does that. "Are the others still coming?"

"Yep, Eron, Alox and Mater Rhin. They should be here shortly."

We had been working on our dual-wielding with lightsabers over the last couple of weeks back at school and we wanted to do a little extra practice. This wasn't for us to use all the time, but more for us to have another option in an emergency.

"Thank you for coming Master," said Eron once everyone was there. Alox still only had his training sabre, but we had our lightsaber along with our training sabre.

"No problem young ones. I'm happy to help. It's something I enjoy doing and there's never that much to do on weekends."

We started practising with both lightsabers. Alox just watched us for a while as we tried to get the hang of the timing of two lightsabers. We had the training sabre in our offhand as it was the side we were more likely to make a mistake with. I felt like I had a good handle on it while defending and needed a rest, so I let Alox practice with my training sabre, so he had two of them. I helped him get started and Master Rhin helped him learn how to make them part of each other with his style. He was getting very good.

We practised for about an hour, each of us doing different things to make a second lightsaber part of our normal technique. It still didn't feel as natural as it was with one sabre, but it felt like something I could do if needed.

Just as we had wrapped up, we heard an alarm from the main building.

"What's that," I asked.

"I don't know," said the Master. "It's a warning alarm and it requests a lockdown. Students in the building are supposed to go to the main theatre or stay in their rooms."

Alox hid behind the rest of us. "What do we do?"

"We stay in the trees and make our way back to the main building. Make sure we have everything and leave no trace we were here."

We cleaned up quickly and then hid in the trees. While we walked the Master got her communicator out and contacted the main building.

"That's odd,"

"What is," I asked.

"I can't get through. I've got a signal, but I can't get hold of anyone in the building." We paused briefly. "We'll keep going. You will stay in the trees when we get into visual range of the building. I'll make another call to the police to see what they have."
