Chapter 12: Life inside the Kingdom

Third Person's POV

Jeonghan was confined after poisoning incident. He was still unconscious for almost a week and Pi Cheolin is his doctor.

Jihoon helps the old man to aid the Concubine. He reported this to Seungcheol but the latter didn't even bother to look out for his youngest husband.

"When do you think he will wake up, ajussi?" Jihoon asked for the nth time. Feeling hopeless.

"I don't know, Jihoon-ah. The medicine made him a sleeping corpse. That person is good at making poison. All we need to do is to cleanse all of the poison inside his body." The ajussi said while giving the sleeping Jeonghan an antidote.

"What about Seungcheol?" Jihoon looked up to the Old man, confused.
"He really likes this concubine... But, I don't see him visiting."

Jihoon rolled his eyes, "I saw him yesterday going to the Empress' residence. I don't know what he will do there but some maids here said that he is visiting different lords and ladies in the palace and stay there in the night. They said that the Emperor avoids this place. What a fucker."

The old man laughs at him,
"Seungcheol is confused at the moment, Jihoon-ah."

"Why would he be confused, Old man? He just a fucker in my eyes and his Empress is a coward who uses his power to kill innocent people." Jihoon commented and looks in the peaceful Jeonghan in pity.

"My siblings fell on their hands.. I only have myself and my cousins. And, if Seungcheol marries me too; I might be feral. I'll burn this palace." Jihoon said that made the Old Man laughs more.
"I am not joking, Old Man!"

"Your tongue is too sharp to let it speak inside the palace, Jihoon." Pi Cheolin said. "If you want a difference, You should make it happen instead of yapping without making a move."

They both look at Jeonghan, "This person will make the difference. But, he needs someone to sacrifice their life."

"Who will do it? And sacrifice? Like offering their life for death?" Jihoon asked confusedly.

"No, maybe another killing. Or he may have a power growing. Just wait for him to wake up." Pi Cheolin said.

Pi Cheolin was harvesting some herbs to make the antidote for the Concubine when he heard noises from a far.

"Your brother is too stubborn.." The man spoke. "I just want to visit his lovely concubine!"

"Seungkwannie, the palace is still in danger. They need our help."

"But we need to rest too??" Seungkwan said while rolling his eyes and stops when Pi Cheolin stood up with a basket in his arms.

"Crown Prince Hansol, Crown Princess Seungkwan.." Pi Cheolin greeted the both male and Hansol smiles at the Old Man.

"Long time, no see, Ajussi!" Hansol said. "What are you doing?"

"Aaaaayy, picking herbs for my most important patient." Pi Cheolin said.

"Halaboji! I picked this too!" The girl named Bora ran to the Old Man. She is the girl that the old man treated, together with Jeonghan.

"Ooohhh! That is Wild Raspberries!" The old man cheered at the young girl. "But you should not pick it when its unripe since it is poisonous."

Bora suddenly throw the fruit because of what she learned that made the three laughed.

"Hansol, do you want to see my patient's condition?" The old man asks Hansol, who is also a physician.
