Chapter 1: The Announcement

Third Person POV:
Things were not going well for JYP Entertainment. Itzy's popularity was going down. Their YouTube views were low, and their comebacks were easily forgotten once the heat died down. Twice and Nmixx also weren't doing well, not being able to stay on domestic charts for long. Album sales had also gone down.

On top of that, they just debuted their global girl group VCHA, and they were planning to debut a global Latin girl group as well. Those two weren't solid groups, as they were yet to gain solid fanbases.

The only solid group under JYPE right now was Stray Kids. In fact, they've just released their third Korean studio album, 5-Star. They're also the leaders of the 4th generation of Kpop, along with Black Forest. JYPE also has other groups like 2PM and Day6, but only Stray Kids are mainstream.

But another problem just popped up. The concept of mixed gender groups had become very popular. As a result, mixed gender groups such as KARD had gained significantly more popularity. The demand was stricter on boy groups than it was girl groups.

This meant that Stray Kids' popularity was going down. Black Forest were almost surpassing them in terms of popularity. Especially since they had also just released a studio album as well, their full Japanese album Perfect World. Plus, they have a Japanese member, so it just made things easier for them. 2023 seems to be their peak in album sales as well. With their second Korean studio album, I Feel selling over 5,000,000 units. JYPE could not afford to lose Stray Kids.

This brings us to the present time. The members of Stray Kids are currently in the JYPE building. Park Jinyoung, or JYP, as he is more commonly known, had personally called them to his office to discuss something. At least, that's how he had put it.

The members file into an elevator, heading to the top floor of the building. "Are we going to disband?" Han asked nervously as the elevator moved upwards.

"No, we won't," Seungmin responds, sounding sure of himself on the outside. On the inside, he was panicking, though, all of them were.

"But you've seen what's been happening, and now JYP suddenly calls us to his office?!" Han protests incredulously, beginning to grow restless. He could already feel himself starting to hyperventilate.

Bang Chan, who was standing next to him, put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry. Everything will be okay, I promise," he says, though he couldn't help but feel worried. But he couldn't show it. He was the leader, after all. If he panicked, all hell would break loose.

A high-pitched 'ding' rang out as the doors to the elevator opened, breaking them out of their thoughts. The members walked out of the elevator, their destination, JYP's office. It was the only office on the entire floor. As they reach the office, Bang Chan knocks once on the office door before they enter. JYP was sitting in his chair at his desk facing away from the door but swivelled around to face the door as soon as he heard the knock.

"Ah, boys. Please, take a seat," JYP says as he catches sight of them, gesturing them to a comically large black sofa at the wall of one side of the room. The boys shuffle to the sofa and sit down, with some sitting on the armrests of the sofa.

"So what did you want to discuss, PD-Nim?" Chan asks, folding his hands together anxiously. The rest of the members stayed silent, patiently waiting for whatever JYP had to say.

JYP leans forward in his seat, his eyes watching the group carefully. He takes a pause for dramatic effect before speaking, "I wanted to discuss the new female addition to Stray Kids."

A/N: Hi, everyone reading this! I'm a new author and writing in a new style, which is third person. I'm also very inconsistent so please bear with me. My posting is also irrgeular, but since I'm currently on holiday, I'll try to post a lot.

It's short, but it's only the first chapter. Also, Black Forest is my OC K-pop girl group
