Miya Centric:
As Miya entered the dorm, she could immediately tell that something was wrong. She could feel it in the air. Walking further inside the dorm and heading to the living room, she found Felix seated on a couch by himself, looking distraught. She could also hear snickering coming from the direction of the kitchen, probably from the rest of the members. Yep. Something was definitely wrong. She entered the living room, sitting down next to Felix. He didn't say anything. Not even sparing her a single glance. She didn't know why, but for some reason, she felt a pang in her heart. Still, she made an effort to talk to him.
"Hey." She starts, her voice quiet as she cracked a small smile.
Felix glanced at her for a fraction of a second... before scoffing and standing up. He went to sit down against the wall furthest from her.
Miya's expression dropped instantly. This wasn't like Felix. Being the overthinker that she was, her mind began to race with thoughts.
Did she do something wrong? What if she accidentally offended him earlier and he's only expressing it now? She couldn't remember doing anything wrong, though. And even if she did, she's sure she would have apologised immediately she did it.
She took a deep breath, pulling herself out of the sea that was her consuming thoughts. Her eyes flickered from Felix to the kitchen and back again. She was sure the other had something to do with it. Her stubbornness wouldn't let her leave Felix alone. She couldn't let the one person out of her members who had actually started treating her decently go back to hating her again. She had to get him to tell her what she had done wrong.
She gets up from her seat, determined as she walks over to Felix and sits down next to him on the ground. Felix still ignored her, but at least he didn't move away this time. She looked at his face. His expression was upset, but also sad at the same time.
They sat like that for a bit, the once comfortable silence between them becoming awkward again. Miya used this time to collect her thoughts. She then spoke up after a few seconds.
"I'm sorry." She was genuine. And her tone was sad, just like how she felt. Felix looks at her for a bit before looking away again.
"You're... apologising?" He asks, his voice quiet but with a hint of surprise in it.
Miya nodded, letting out a heavy breath. "I don't know what I did, but I really am sorry. I swear." She pleads, just wanting him to believe her.
Felix pauses before turning to fully face her and look at her. "Wait. You really don't know what you did?" He asks, gauging the expression on her face.
Miya shakes her head immediately, confused as hell. Felix continues after seeing her response.
"And you're apologising... even though you don't know what you did?" His tone wasn't cold anymore. Just inquisitive.
He looks at her with an unreadable blank expression on his face, which kind of scared her. It felt like he was staring right into her very soul. He studied her face for a bit, seemingly searching for any dishonesty or deception. After a bit, he let out a sigh, the tension in his body finally leaving as his shoulders slumped.
"I'm sorry." He said suddenly, which only confused Miya more. Wasn't she the one apologising?
Seeing her confused expression, Felix continued. "I should have never believed them. You wouldn't do that. " His tone was regretful.
"What?" Miya asks, just wanting to know what the hell was going on.
"You see..." Felix starts as he begins to explain.
(Flashback)
Third Person POV:
"Did you hear what your 'new best friend' did?" Hyunjin starts, putting a dramatic emphasis on 'new best friend'.Felix raises an eybrow, curious but concerned. "Who? Miya? What about her?" He leans in to hear Hyunjin better.
Hyunjin smirks a little, seeing that he had successfully piqued the freckled boy's interest. "Well, I heard some things she was saying the other day." He replies, now putting on a look of pity.
Felix didn't reply, confused.
Hyunjin took it as a sign to continue. "She was laughing while talking with her friends. Saying how soft and easy you are. And how you're a total pushover."
Felix's eyes widened. He didn't want to believe what he had just heard... but what if it was true?
Hyunjin had to hide his glee as he saw Felix's expression drop. "I'm sorry you had to find out like this. She's not who you thought she was." He said with a fake sympathetic expression on his face, patting the younger's shoulder comfortingly.
Felix didn't react. As he felt betrayed, he failed to notice that smirks that were creeping onto Hyunjin and the others' faces.
(End of Flashback)Miya Centric:
"Those bastards!" Miya whisper shouts, feeling anger bubble to the surface. Her relationship with Felix almost got wrecked because of that? Felix quickly put a hand on top of hers to comfort her, remembering what happened the last time her breaking point was reached. The time she punched Minho and busted his bottom lip."Don't mind them. It was just a misunderstanding. This is why communication is important." He says soothingly, running his thumb over the back of her hand.
Miya takes a deep breath, calming down a little. "I guess." She mutters, still feeling kind of pissed.
That feeling fully diminishes as she remembers something. "Oh. There's something I've been meaning to tell you." She starts, looking at Felix a little nervously.
He doesn't say anything, patiently giving her time to prepare her words.
Miya thinks for a bit, deciding the best way to break it for them, before deciding to just screw it. "Someone found out." She whispers, looking around and making sure no one had heard them.
Felix was confused for a bit until his eyes widened in realisation. "I'm actually surprised it didn't happen sooner. Was it a member of Black Forest?" He says, which surprised Miya.
"How do people keep on guessing everything so accurately?" She groans out, making Felix chuckle at how cute she looked. She staightens her back as she sits up and continues. "Yes, it was. Jimin, to be specific."
Felix shrugs. "I'm not surprised. I doubt that girl's human sometimes."
Miya chuckles, amused. "I understand. It's like she's always four steps ahead of everyone." She then looks at Felix, her expression more serious. "You're surprisingly calm."
Felix smiles, his expression serene. "Why would I be mad or anything? The truth was going to come out eventually." He responds, making Miya sigh in relief.
"Wait. Why are we still on the floor?" She says after a bit, making Felix aware of their bearings.
"Guess we got caught up in the moment, huh? Come on!" He responds, standing up and offering his hand for her to take as she giggles.
