"Up so early...?" Lindsey smirked softly when his eyes fell on the blonde, who was standing in the kitchen with a cup of coffee and the radio on so low, he hadn't even heard until then.

Glancing up, her brown orbs met his as she leaned into the counter. "Good morning, sunshine." Her voice was still low and her lips were turned up.

She was in her pajamas, no makeup on, long hair in natural curls that framed her face and glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. Even though it was only eight in the morning, she was still as beautiful as ever and waking up with her each morning was probably the best part of his day.

"I woke up and felt so lonely." He teased with a cheesy grin as he traveled through the room.

He had really made himself right at home in the last couple of months. He had a key, a part of the spare closet, a toothbrush, and his own side of the double sinks in the master bath... It was pretty legit, obviously.

And not only were they doing awfully well at learning to live with one another again, Stevie had even successfully convinced him to go with her to a couples therapist every other week... He didn't want to at first, not really, but she knew it would be so beneficial for them, even though they weren't having any sort of issues.

They were both incredibly happy with each other for the first time ever, but having someone else to talk to about their past problems really helped them with their growth... Being able to discuss things that were hard was good for them, especially when they'd been through all of the most difficult things together.

Anyway, it was good and they were trying, which was more than they could say for their younger selves.

"Oh...?" Rolling her eyes playfully, Stevie pushed herself up on her tip toes to pull a coffee cup down out of the cabinet. "You're so full of it." She let out a soft giggle, shaking her head lightly when she set the cup down.

He kept the light smirk, slipping a hand around her waist from behind.

"Lindsey..." Stevie whispered with another faint laugh as she felt him push her into the counter a little more. "I'm trying to pour you a cup of coffee." She tilted her head to the side, biting down on her bottom lip. "You aren't making it easy." She added in a joking manner as she slowly got closer to press her lips to his.

He chuckled lightly, giving her a couple more quick kisses before he patted her hip. "You're too good to me." He told her as he carefully let her go.

Nodding her head in agreement, she held out the cup. "I know." She gave him a crooked smile, only joking but he didn't think so... She was too good- she was the best.

"You're also really cute." He gave her a soft wink, leaning back into the counter as he brought his cup up to his lips to take a sip.

"Good morning," Penny's sweet voice lingered through the doorway, causing Stevie's smile to grow a little wider.

She was coming through doorframe, rubbing her sleepy brown eyes as her cat slippers made a little pitter patter sound across the hardwood.

"Hi, beautiful girl." The older woman, held out her hands, heart instantly melting when her daughter sank right into her arms for a hug.

"Morning, kid." Lindsey reached out to playfully tug on one of her braids, chuckling lightly when she gave him an annoyed look.

She jokingly stuck her tongue out, which caused her dad to laugh in return.

Stevie grinned, kissing the top of her head as she rocked her back and forth for a moment. "Did you sleep good?" She wondered, patting her shoulder when Penny started to pull away.
