"Lindsey...?" Stevie whispered his name through the darkness, staring down at him as he stayed laying flat on his stomach right next to her.

After he'd asked her to stay the night before, she couldn't turn him down, and at first, Lindsey assured her that he would sleep on the sofa, but she was the one that asked him to come to bed... She just wanted to be close and luckily, so did he.

In fact, he hadn't always been the most affectionate man in the world, but he knew that she was feeling awfully emotional and to calm her down, he played with her long blonde hair for a long time before she finally closed her tired brown eyes.

They both got the best nights sleep that either of them could remember.

"Hm?" He was still half out of it, just starting to pick his head up off the pillow when he felt the tips of her fingers run across his back.

"Honey, I have to go..." she didn't want to, but she couldn't stay either- that was not an option when she had a man waiting in her suite. "I have to get back before he wakes up." She admitted in a soft tone of voice as her eyes scanned over his side profile.

She would have done anything to stay hauled up in that room with him for even just a little while longer, but she knew better... They couldn't do that.

He carefully rolled onto his back, eyes melting into hers even though there was hardly any light illuminating the room. "I'm sorry that I kept you here all night." He shook his head lightly as a softness lingered in his tone of voice as well.

"Thank you for inviting me back to talk..." she didn't want him to apologize, not when she had enjoyed that night with him so much.

He slowly started pushing himself up to sit back against the headboard, not ready for her to leave but knowing that there was just no way that he could ask her to stay any longer than he already had. "I'm going to see you again before this trip ends, right?" Lindsey wondered, suddenly growing a little more sad that their time in Hawaii was coming to an end.

Usually he was ready to head back home after just a few days... mainly because that island brought with it so many memories and a lot of heartache. But this trip was a lot different and for whatever reason, he was dreading the last few days there.

Nodding her head, she couldn't help but reach out and take his face in her hand... He was so handsome. "I still have a few days before we leave, so I'll see you." She was promising him that and she'd gotten a lot better at keeping those in the last two decades.

He bit down on the inside of his cheek as he patted her leg through the blanket. "Have a good morning, Steph." Lindsey couldn't sit there another moment longer, not when he was so tempted to wrap her back up in his arms... He really, really didn't want her to leave either.

She smirked lightly, carefully tossing her legs over the edge of the bed to let her feet hit the carpeted floor. "You too," she replied as she slowly stood up, picking her shawl up off the accent chair to slip on over her shoulders.

He lingered by the door, watching her get her shoes on before she began to travel his way. "Bye..." Lindsey whispered when she close, eyes locked with hers as she continued to run her fingers through her curls to get out the couple of tangles.

She paused for a second, only a few inches away from him and heart beating faster than before. "Lindsey..." her voice cracked, a deep sigh of relief escaping her when his hands circled her waist.

Lindsey waited for her to slip both arms around her his shoulders before he leaned down to press his lips to hers, both of them feeling this weight of tension lifting instantly.

They didn't realize just how much they'd really been missing each other until that point.

"Oh," Stevie whispered, pulling back only far enough to snuggle into the crook of his neck to be held.

She was nervous, so nervous and for the first time in years too. She could tell by the butterflies fluttering around in the pit of her stomach and how flushed she felt in the matter of just moments... No other man could ever make her feel the way Lindsey made her feel.

Patting her hip, he gave her one more subtle squeeze as he kissed the side of her face. "I'll see you later."

With her sunglasses resting over her eyes and a drink in her hand, Penny traveled along side Erin as they headed down to the pool... The only hang out spot that they could actually agree on.

They might not have been that far apart in age, but they couldn't have been any less alike if they tried.

"Your dad and I have been meaning to talk to you about a few things..." Erin announced that as soon as they had taken their seats on the sun beds.

Nodding softly, Penny peaked at her over the edge of her glasses as she sipped from her straw, already not so sure that piña colada was going be strong enough for an afternoon with Erin. "He hasn't said anything to me like that." She arched a brow lightly, not sure what the other woman was trying to do...

There had never, ever been a time in her life when Penelope heard any serious news from anyone but Lindsey... Not even Barbara or Jess were left to explain much of anything.

Well, expect for the fact that he did leave it up to Barbara to talk to her about her mother when she was ready, but other than that, if there was something he wanted Penny to know, he came to her and told her.

Erin tried not to roll her eyes, already finding her annoying as it was, but more so when she acted like she knew everything already. "Your dad and I are going to start a family of our own." She shrugged a shoulder lightly, tone in her voice shifting into a much colder, almost hostile one. "And he's too worried that you'll act like the spoiled brat that you are." That part she regretted as soon as it left her mouth, instantly stunned that she had actually said it aloud... She usually just thought that all the time.

Pursing her lips to the side, Penelope's brown eyes grew a little wider than before.... she wasn't sure anyone had ever talked to her like that.

"I didn't mean to say that to you, Penelope." Erin shook her head, heart sinking into the pit of her stomach. "I just got a little worked up for a second and I should not have said that." She started rambling for a second, staring down at her drink out of nervousness for a moment.

It wasn't until Penny hadn't replied when Erin finally looked back over at her, just to see that her eyes had rolled back and she was shaking from head to toe.
