One week before the Mugan Train Incident..
Daki's pov:
Yoshiwara, Tokyo, Japan
I was walking around the streets of the Entertainment District while having my cat: Theo at night before I noticed a young girl with knotted haired and wearing rags carrying a child in her arms.
The girl: "Please, miss. May I ask you for some yen so my child can eat?" She asked me which disgusted a part of me that used to be the cruelest oiran, yet she in a way reminded me of my brother's and I's childhood of this cursed place, where many people picked on my older brother and where men wanted my body. That life caused me to stab the eye of a samurai, who not only wanted to use my body, he also insulted my brother who was away due to work.
Daki: "Why do you live in these filthy streets with a child?" I asked the girl.
Girl: "I was forced to work as a geisha till one night, a client got drunk and laid himself on me despite my professional refusal. My parents kicked me out when they discovered that I was with child, so now I beg for coin so I can feed my son." She said which made me want to flatten this damned town but I will digress. Her story reminded me of when me and Mairon-san met Fujimoto-san.
Flashback...
1899 A.D.
Tokyo, Japan
I was walking around the city with Mairon- sama.
Daki: "Annatar- sama, I have a question." I said to the brown haired demon.
Johan/Sauron: "Oh? And what would that be?" He asked as his yellow human-like eyes stared at me with an arched eyebrow.
Daki: "Why is it every time I'm in the same room as Annalise, I start to burn up as if I was under the sun?" I asked my question to Annatar.
Johan: "That is due to the gem that her ring stores." He answered vaguely.
Daki: "How can a gem cause the same sensation as being under the sun?" I asked since his answer made no sense.
Johan: "That gemstone is called a Silmaril and there are only three of it's kind. They house the last remnants of the Two Trees of Valinor, where my kind: the Ainur lived after creation. This one was stolen by a half Maia from my former master: Morgoth, who stole it from the elves of Valinor. This Silmaril was sent back to the Valar, who threw it into the sky which caused it to become a star." He explained in detail which got me more curious about these Silmarils.
Daki: "What are the Two Trees of Valinor and why did your former master steal them? What happened to the other two Silmarils and why is one here if it was a star?" I asked like a child, who wanted to know a secret.
Johan: "I do not know how that one got here, but the others were lost after they burned their holders, one was thrown along with it's holder into a volcano while the other was cast into the sea with it's holder. The Two Trees of Valinor were one of the first sources of light that shined onto this world before Morgoth destroyed the trees with the assistance of Ungoliant, who poisoned and devoured life from the trees when they hid in a literal cloak of darkness called the Unlight. The Valar: Yavanna sang while Nienna cried before they recovered the last fruit and flower which would later become the Sun and Moon, which was made by my old master: Aüle. They each had one Maia, who directs the Sun and Moon around the world though Tilion, the Maia for the Moon, is reckless and doesn't always follow the Moon's course which causes to this day the Solar eclipses or for the Moon to not appear at all. For why my master stole the Silmarils, it's due to cause strife between the elves and because of their beauty that shined, even the darkest of caves. That's why after my former master stole the gems, he put them on his crown and proudly wore his Iron Crown." He explained in full detail which shocked me.
