Chapter 18: Upper Moon Six

Kyogoku house, Yoshiwara, Tokyo, Japan

Tanjiro's pov:

I made my way back to Koinastu's room since the demon's smell was there. I jumped into the window sill to see a demon holding the Oiran by an obi sash connected to the demon. The demon wore such revealing clothing along with her pink obi sash that was wrapped around her stomach.

The demon: "You're finally here. Very well. How many of the other Slayers are here? Did a Hashira come along as well or will they be here soon? I definitely know that you're not one, Tanjiro. I also know about your little friends and Uzui." She said as her obi sash was slithering around the Oiran. Her words shocked me since not only does she know my name, but she also knew about Uzui being near.

The demon: "Don't worry, I won't eat you since she is here as well." She said which confused me on who she referred to as, 'She.' I questioned what happened to Koinastu's body since I can only see her head, yet she hasn't been decapitated due to no smell of blood.

Tanjiro: "Let her go!" I shouted to the demon

The demon: "Later, but first." She said before her obi sash flew towards me at high speed that I couldn't see her move. This attack threw me out of the window and onto the opposite roof. I knew she was an Upper Moon but I questioned why my legs were so weak. I tried to calm myself down and told myself that I wasn't paralyzed. I reminded myself that it wasn't fear that sapped away my strength and that I was momentarily stunned from falling on my back. I knew that the obi sash was the demon's weapon and that it can swallow people whole. I theorized that if she could hide inside the sash, then it could move around on it's own, but how? It's a piece of cloth, so it could carry her behind the walls as well as through the cracks.

The demon: "Still alive? Good. You have such pretty eyes that a demon would want to pluck them out and eat them." She said while crouching on top of the window sill and showing her long nails. I knew Nezuko's box would crack on the next attack to it.

Tanjiro: "I'm sorry, Nezuko that the shoulder strap broke so I can't fight while carrying you. I must leave you behind here, so don't come out of the box unless you are in danger!" I told my sister before placing her box down as I used the Fourth form of Water Breathing; Striking Tide: Turbulent as the demon charged at me. Both of our attacks danced around each other before we landed on the ground.

The demon: "His movements in the air weren't bad along with his sword skills.. He was right about him." She said as the end of the obi that was holding Koinastu's head was behind me while I was huffing from being a little tired.

The demon: "You're cute, just like your uncle said. I like you already." She said with a grin.

Kirimise, Yoshiwara, Tokyo, Japan

Tengen Uzui's pov:

I made my way to the brothel that Hinatsura was sent to by the owner of the Kyogoku. I found her on the floor covered in sweat, like she was sick while her window was covered by an obi sash that leaked of blood.

Hinatsura: "Tengen. Don't bother yourself with me, so please, leave me. I know you heard that sound from a demon earlier. It's on the loose and it knows your name." She said which worried me.

Tengen: "Are you alright, really?" I asked her as I realized that she drank poison to fake her sickness.

Tengen: "You did everything you could; you did it well. When the antidote gets you better, leave Yoshiwara. Got it?" I told her as I gave her the antidote while hugging her.

Hinatsura: "I will." She said weakly before I jumped out of the window and onto the roofs. I could sense the fight has begun as the clouds above started to darken with the rising sun soon approaching. I must get to the fight before it's too late! I hope Ronai- San has better luck in his investigation. I landed to the ground to listen through the dirt to track down the demon. The echoes told me that there was a large cavern, but the tunnels were so narrow that a child could use them, so I unsheathed my swords on my back and used my First Form of Sound Breathing. This attack caused an explosion on the ground due to my swords containing some explosive power, which I never knew what they exactly do due to no demon surviving from the blades.
