TORI

Theo and I ended up taking two nights away from everyone else. When I arrived back home, I somehow felt more relaxed and peaceful. I wasn't sure how long that would last because I was right back to work on filming another movie.

The Life We Live is a romantic comedy based on the lives of four leading couples with the actors and actresses Sam Carter and Miranda Gloss, Jordan Chase and Arianna Carter, Gage Chase and Lydia Monroe, and last but not least, myself and Alec Hall.

Today was my first time meeting Alec Hall, and after everything I had heard, I wasn't sure what to think. Alec was tall yet shorter than Theo. It was not that I was comparing them; it was a fact. Alec was handsome, and I knew that from seeing him in previous films or at a distance on the red carpet. Like Jordan, Alec usually had his black hair slicked back.

Alec approached me with a smile on his face. "Hey, Tori. It's great to meet you finally. I look forward to getting to know you while working on this movie. I've heard great things from Sam and Gage." Alec extended his hand, and as I went to shake it, I could feel Theo's eyes not on me but on Alec. Theo had told me earlier that he would watch Alec like a hawk because he didn't trust him. Right now, I didn't trust him either. I didn't know him, and until proven trustworthy, I will take my chances.

"It's nice to meet you too, Alec. I've seen a lot of your work. Miranda tells me you're fun to work with," I responded.

Alec chuckled. "I'm sure Miranda only says that because she's gotten to kiss me a few times. She can't keep her hands off me while filming, but she's all over Sam when we're off camera."

I raised my brow in suspicion. From my knowledge, Miranda and Alec had only a couple of kissing scenes in one of their movies from about a year ago. Miranda didn't seem like the type to like someone like Alec.

"Oh, her hands were all over you, huh?" This guy loved to lie. I don't know Miranda well, but I highly doubt she was putting her hands all over Alec. He was younger than her and even myself.

Jordan Chase was twenty-six, Gage was twenty-two like Alec, Lydia was twenty-one, and Miranda was twenty-eight like Sam. If Miranda had her hands all over Alec, fine, but don't do it if it's not part of the scene.

"I think Miranda is playing hard to get. She's with Sam all the time, but it's okay. I hoped she and I would be the couple in this movie, but they put me with you, which is even better."

"How is it better?" I asked.

"You're prettier than Miranda and, from what I've seen, more feisty." Alec lifted his hand to tuck a loose piece of my hair behind my ear, but I swatted his hand away. "Sorry, habit."

Is it a habit to move loose hair behind women's ears? What?!

I faked a smile and turned the other way to roll my eyes. This was going to be a long day.

"Action!"

The set today was outside at a park. I was so glad we wouldn't be cooped up in a room and had lots of space to film. My character was Molly, and I wore a black skirt, sandals, and a light blue top. The scene we were filming was a proposal.

Alec got down on one knee and popped open a ring box. "I've loved you since we met in high school. It's still led me back to you through all the drama and heartbreak. Molly, I want to spend the rest of my life with you because you will complete my life. Will you marry me?"

I forced tears into my eyes and nodded as I glanced down at Alec. "Yes!" Alec stood, his face beaming. He pulled me close, and his lips smashed onto mine.

Alec's kisses seemed to linger endlessly, and I could hardly believe that the director would ever call for a break. However, the long-awaited moment finally arrived when he did.
