TORI

Today was another day of filming like yesterday, but this time, my best friend and Theo hadn't argued before arriving on set about me. I couldn't wait to see them argue today when I had a kissing scene with Arianna's brother, Sam Carter.

Sam Carter and I starred in the movie Falling Deeper, and since the fans adored us in that movie, we were starring in another one together. I wasn't mad because Sam was great to work with. He was nothing compared to Logan, who also happened to be in this movie. Logan played my ex-fiance in this movie, which was called Leaving It All Behind.

Leaving It All Behind is about a woman who was in an abusive relationship and is trying to get out of it. Her fiance, Brad, abused her, so she broke off the engagement, only for Brad to become more enraged. Chloe, who is my character, enters her work with lots of bruises, and people begin to notice. Arianna plays my best friend Whitney and informs our boss about what's happening. Sam portrays Nick Casper, who is Chloe's boss. The story's moral is that Nick helps keep Chloe safe while falling for her simultaneously.

"Tori, it's time for you to get on set!"

I glanced up from my script and saw my manager, Nolan, pointing at the stage where Sam was waiting. The stage was in an office setting, and Sam was dressed in a dress shirt with a tie while I was in black dress pants with a dark blue long-sleeve turtleneck.

"Action!"

Sam and I stood in front of each other. He always towered over me, no matter what shoes I wore, and today, that was flats.

"Chloe, why are you wearing a turtleneck? It's almost a hundred degrees outside. You must be warm," Sam said.

I shook my head. "No, Nick, I'm fine. Now, let me get back to work." I turned, and Sam grabbed my arm. I flinched on purpose, making Sam take a step back.

"Chloe, I know what's been going on. Whitney told me about it, and I can help you."

My eyes went wide, and I was on the verge of tears. I yanked my arm back from Sam. "H-Help me? What are you talking about? I don't need help."

"Chloe, don't lie to me. I know what he's doing to you."

"You can't help me. No one can because no one will listen or believe me."

Sam stepped forward and slid up the sleeve on my right arm, revealing the bruises the makeup artists had done on set. "This makes me believe. I've never considered you a liar. You're one of my best employees."

I turned my head, looking away from Sam. "You'll only make him angrier. He will kill me. He said so."

"Stay at my place, Chloe. It's safe for you there. I have a guest bedroom, and I can be there if he finds you." Sam turned my head toward him, and we locked eyes. His thumb ran across my cheek, wiping away my tears. "Please, Chloe, Whitney cares about you, and so do the rest of us here. The signs of abuse are not invisible to us. Let us all help you. I won't let him hurt you."

A single tear slid down my cheek, and I nodded, letting Sam pull me into an embrace.

"Cut! Let's take a fifteen break!"

Sam and I pulled apart. "That was pretty good acting, Tori. It's some of the best I've seen from you."

I was surprised. "Wait, you mean that?" I asked. "I thought it was average."

Sam shook his head. "Yes, I mean that. It was good. I've worked with good and bad actors. You're better than a lot of the good ones."

I chuckled. "Well, thanks, Sam. That means a lot coming from you. I'm glad to be working with someone as easy as you."
