Leah POV:

Returning to training after the New Year's break felt like plunging back into the deep end of a freezing pool. The routine, the rigorous drills, the competitive atmosphere—it all came rushing back with a vengeance. But there was one thing that made it bearable, even enjoyable, being able to see Lucy everyday

Training alongside Lucy was both exhilarating and torturous. Exhilarating because I got to see her almost every day; torturous because we had to keep our relationship a secret. The chemistry between us was undeniable, and the more time we spent together, the harder it became to hide our feelings. We were like magnets, constantly drawn to each other.

During one of the training sessions, I caught Lucy's eye across the field. She gave me a sly smile that sent a shiver down my spine. It was a smile that promised mischief. And mischief we did find.

It had become our little game, sneaking off to the bathrooms or any secluded spot we could find, stealing kisses and whispers of sweet nothings. We were careful, always making sure no one saw us, but the thrill of possibly being caught only added to the excitement.

One afternoon, after a particularly grueling session, we managed to slip away unnoticed. As soon as the door to the bathroom closed behind us, Lucy pressed me against the wall, her lips crashing onto mine. My hands found their way into her hair, pulling her closer, deepening the kiss.

"We really need to stop doing this," I murmured against her lips, not meaning a single word of it.

"Do you want to stop?" she whispered back, her breath hot against my skin.

"Not at all," I replied, kissing her again.

After a few more stolen moments, we reluctantly pulled away, knowing we couldn't stay hidden for too long. Lucy sighed and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"You know," she said, a hint of frustration in her voice, "we're not even official yet."

Her words lingered in the air as we straightened our clothes and prepared to rejoin the team. Not official yet. It was something that had been on my mind too, but hearing her say it out loud made it all the more real. We weren't just fooling around; this was something deeper, something that deserved a name, a label. Girlfriends. The thought of it made my heart race.

That evening, as I sat at home, Lucy's words echoed in my mind. We're not even official yet. I knew what I had to do.

The next day, I woke up with a sense of purpose. I went out and bought the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I could find, a mix of roses and lilies, with a hint of lavender—Lucy's favorite. I spent the rest of the day rehearsing what I was going to say, pacing back and forth in my apartment. When evening came, I could hardly contain my excitement.

Standing outside Lucy's door, flowers in hand, I took a deep breath and knocked. Moments later, the door opened, and there she was, looking as stunning as ever. Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw the flowers.

"Leah, what are you doing here?" she asked, a smile spreading across her face.

"I needed to see you," I replied, handing her the bouquet. "And I have something important to ask you."

She took the flowers, her eyes shining with curiosity. "Come in," she said, stepping aside to let me in.

We walked into her living room, and she set the flowers down on the coffee table. I took her hands in mine, feeling the familiar warmth of her touch.

"Lucy," I began, my voice steady despite the butterflies in my stomach, "these past few weeks with you have been incredible. You make me happier than I ever thought possible. And I know we've been keeping things low-key, but I don't want to hide how I feel about you anymore."
