Jennie nonchalantly said and didn't bother opening her eyes. She was too tired for the day and even lifting an arm was already tiring for her. She heard the door to her office slowly being pulled open and the soft yet firm footsteps walk in the room.
Still with her eyes closed, Jennie listened to the sound calmly. She assumed that the person who entered the room was Wu Qi who came to give her another stack of paper for her to work on, when Jennie found something strange.
Wu Qi didn't stop in front of her just as he did so earlier when he entered her office to discuss some business matters. The footsteps continued to walk until it stopped beside her chair.
Suddenly, out of instinct, Jennie felt somebody's eyes staring at her, very intensely. She no longer had the urge to take a nap and let her eyes fly open. What stood in front of her soon shocked her.
"What are you doing here?" Jennie asked. She was surprised to see Lisa inside her office.
Lisa held a flower in his hand and said, "Congratulations on officially starting your own entertainment company."
Jennie took the bouquet of flowers from him and took a smell of it; the sweet, resplendent scent gently assaulted her nose, but it wasn't overwhelming. Instead, Jennie's nerves that had been tense all day quickly relaxed upon taking a whiff of these flowers.
After saying her thank you, Jennie stood up and went to the vase on top of the sideboards against the wall close to her desk. Since it was empty, Jennie quickly took the flowers in her arms and put each of them inside the vase. Soon, the room became a bit more lively with the flowers finally occupying the vase.
Returning to his side, Jennie saw him sitting on the chair she used to sit on just now. She raised an eyebrow, but he returned it with an amused look in his eyes. He then gestured for her to come closer and she did walk closer to him.
The moment Jennie stood next to him, his hand gently pulled her towards him. Jennie gasped and found herself sitting on top of his lap.
"What time is it?" Lisa said as he grabbed a strand of her hair and twirled it between his fingers.
Jennie looked at her watch and said, "It's already four in the afternoon."
"And have you had your lunch?"
Jennie thought about it... It seems that she didn't eat anything. "I forgot about it."
"I thought so." Lisa said. "I heard from Uncle Wu that you haven't stepped down since you entered your office."
"He called you?"
Lisa nodded. "I sent him here to help you. But aside from that, I also sent him to you so that he could lessen your worries and tell me if anything bad happens to you. But it seems that not even a day has passed and you're making me worry about you already."
"I only forgot about lunch... There's no need to worry too much," Jennie told him. "Besides, I am not feeling that hungry. I'll just grab something to eat when dinner comes or when I feel hungry."
The fingers twirling her hair froze. Then, she heard him say: "But I'm hungry."
Jennie frowned. She seemed to have heard this line before. "You didn't eat anything too?"
Lisa flashed her a mysterious smile and didn't say anything.
Jennie shivered and jumped up from his lap only to be pulled down towards him again. There's no need for her to hear the words from his lips, his smile was enough for her to remember last night.
Jennie: "Lisa! Don't be too shameless!"
Lisa wrapped his arms over her waist and planted his chin on her neck. "I can only be shameless when I'm with you, dear wife. And didn't you say you weren't hungry?"
"So, I thought maybe you aren't hungry for food. But you're hungry for me."
Jennie felt her mind exploding. How had she not realized that this man could be so outrageous with his appetite and words!
"O-kay! Okay! I'll eat now!" Jennie surrendered.
"Hm? What did you say?" Lisa asked as he unbuttoned the first button on his shirt. His eyes were glimmering with a light that Jennie knew too well. It was the same light he had last night!
Jennie's soul almost flew out of her body. "I mean I want to eat food! I think the lobster restaurant we went to last time should be good! No, I think I can order all the food in their menu and gobble them up!"
She felt the man behind her tremble. Jennie realized that he was laughing at her. But no matter what, Jennie didn't want to stay inside the office anymore. She dragged the still laughing Lisa out of her office as if she feared that if she was even a minute late and Lisa was finished laughing, he would pull her down her desk and start to ravage her just like last night.
Though Jennie didn't hate it and even felt excited just thinking about it, she was afraid that with Lisa's appetite, she might only get out of the office building until the next day arrived.
And so, the two came out of the office building while holding their hands and drove to Jennie's favorite lobster restaurant.
Watching the two leave, Wu Qi sighed in relief. He was standing in front of the window glass and looking at the two figures disappearing inside their car. His eyes had a faint hint of joy as he saw the gloomy and cold son of his young miss finally have a smile on his lips.
