Troubled Kid

Arienna's POV
Once my mom was done with my bruised face she fixed the kid some plate which did surprised me cause she never done that before. I started to feel bad and felt bad about how I treated him. I wasn't in the mood and was pissed when he first came up to me after saving me. All of us were in the kitchen discussing about what happened while the kid was eating spaghetti and garlic bread my mom cooked. The cops were taking notes. The kid told his side of the story after Mariah and I told our parts to the police. Everything he said in his story was the truth. That's what made me feel guilty even more. What happened was after he saved me I walked back home but when I made it in the house my mom was so pissed at me and wanted to know what happened until she saw my bruised face and felt bad for yelling at me. I didn't blame her for getting mad though. Mariah did give my mom the other key she put in her purse. I felt like an idiot at the end after I heard his side of the story. I felt so guilty I left and went to my room and cried. But then Mariah followed me and tried to make me feel even more guilty

Mariah: I bet you feel stupid now Arienna...

Arienna: Mariah just leave me alone (wipes her tears) do you think he'll forgive me?

Mariah: of course he will.

Arienna: I never felt this bad in my life. I hate it. Sorry Mariah..

Mariah sits beside Arienna

Mariah: it's okay. Just promise me you'll never leave me like that. I thought somebody kidnapped you. But I'm glad you're fine.

Arienna: me too. Sisters fight you know

Mariah: I know that. Just talk to him if you want to. He is cute though

Arienna: oh boy..

Mariah: no seriously he is. I saw the way you were looking at him.

Arienna: it's not like that. He's older than the both of us. I know

Mariah: I know that too but one day I can see you dating him once you're older-

Arienna: no..nah I don't see it

Mariah: I do. It's okay. I don't get bad vibes from him. Just go down there once I take a shower and roll my hair up

Arienna: I'll try

Minutes later Arienna enters the kitchen

Arienna: where's everyone?

Rob: they're outside talking to your mom

Arienna: oh..(sits in the kitchen table with Rob) I'm..I'm very sorry for how I treated you. I'm so sorry.

Rob: it's okay. You're a kid. I understand.

Arienna: I don't think you do man. it's just..I'm going through a lot right now. You know? I won't act like that towards you anymore. Never again. (Looks at Rob)

Rob: you look like you went through a lot in your life kid.

Arienna: what makes you feel that way about me?

Rob: i don't know. It's just I can tell in your eyes that you're going through a lot. You know. Your eyes look like you're in pain or always been in pain all your life. You feel empty don't you?

Arienna: yeah. Do you?

Rob: I feel empty sometimes. You're not the only one.

Arienna: Do you think that guy will come back and hurt me again?

Rob: no. He won't. What's your name again kid?

Arienna: Arienna. What's yours again?
