023 | A bet is a bet

Alexia was the first one to wake up, scared that Katherine or Damon was here. She checked on Jeremy before going in her car and driving to the Salvatore boarding house. She needed answers from Damon, even if she hated him.

"Why?" Alexia asks when Damon opened the door after she knocked.

"I'm sorry?"

"Why are you doing that?" She asks before being more specific. "You killed my brother yesterday without knowing he had the ring. You transformed Vicki. You abused Caroline. I just.. I wanna know why you're doing all that."

"Maybe I'm just cruel?"

She shakes her head, "you're not. You're hurt. You found out that your ex that you loved and that you died for loved your brother more than you." Damon looks at her surprised. " you fell for my sister, but she rejected you 'cause she's in love with Stefan. You killed my brother because of anger. I saw it in your eyes."

Damon don't replies, he knew she was right.

"But I also heard that you gave your blood for Caroline and that's why she healed. I may hate you, but I wanted to thank you."

Damon looks at her with admiration. He killed her brother, but yet, she came and said thanks to him for healing her friend.

"I should probably go.. There's the Mystic Falls high school annual carnival." She turned to go to her car when Damon's voice stops her.

"Wait!" She turns around to face him. "I.. thank you. Everyone sees me as a monster. But you seem to understand me."

"I still hate you."

He chuckles, "understandable."

Alexia walked out of her car and goes to the Mystic falls high school carnival where students are preparing for tonight. She was over-hearing the conversation between Elena and Bonnie.

"I mean, Katherine looked just like you. It was freakish."

"She is my ancestor." Elena shrugs with a dramatic sigh.

Alexia decides to intervene in the conversation. "Look at her wrists to know which one is who. It'll help."

"You saw her too?" The witch asks her friend.

"Yup. At the hospital, just before I fell asleep on the bench."

"How can you sleep on a bench after seeing a vampire who looks exactly like your sister? I would've ran to my house."

Alexia shrugs asking herself that question. "She would've killed me if she wanted to."

"Have you talked to Damon since he killed Jeremy?" Bonnie asks, but corrected herself seeing Elena's glare. "Or tried to kill Jeremy."

"No, Bonnie, I haven't. And I won't and I don't wanna talk about Damon or anything vampire-related."

"Yep." Alexia says causing the two girls to turn to her.

"You talked with Damon?" Elena asks confused, "when? And why?"

"This morning."

"And why?"

"You just said you didn't want to talk about Damon or any vampire-related." Alexia says proud of herself for saying that while Elena just looks at her annoyed.
