053 | always repeating itself

Caroline and Tyler walks in the Gilbert house as Alexia and Klaus stops their conversation turning to them. Alexia with a raised eyebrow and Klaus with an amused look.

"If it isn't little orphan Lockwood," Klaus comments amused as Alexia snickers.

Tyler huffs, clearly not amused as many students giggles at the joke.

"Come to show how many laughably impotent you are against me?" He asks with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm just trying to help my friends find the cure," Tyler replies with a shrug.

"A cure you will never have, you know that, right?" Alexia asks amused.

He pulls a sword out of a bag, "found this in your attic."

"And you think finding the sword brings you closer to the cure?" He asks with a neutral expression.

"You tells me," Tyler replies. "I was playing around with the handle on the ride over, and I found this," he takes out a paper out of the sword and it shows many initials.

Klaus gets up, "and what do you think this is?"

"It's called a cryptex,"Caroline speaks, getting up from the couch. Tyler gives her a look as she shrugs, "I've seen The Da Vinci Code. Turn the different sides to different symbols to get the translation on the other side."

Tyler listens to her and slowly turns it.

"And with the magic of the internet, Elena sent over these," she walks to her bag and takes pictures of Jeremy's mark. "So now all we have to do is cryptex away. If you happened to want to help, we wouldn't stop you," she tells Klaus.

He chuckles, "right, well, I might suggest using the magic of the internet to purchase an Aramaic-to-English dictionary from your nearest retailer."

"What's Aramaic?" Tyler asks confused, looking between Klaus, Caroline and Alexia.

"It's a dead language. It hasn't been used since biblical times," Caroline mumbles with wide eyes.

"Qetsiyah's native tongue, I'm guessing," Klaus shrugs as Alexia watches the interaction with a frown. "Even if you had the best dictionary in the world, it could take days to translate." He goes to sit on the living room table, "perhaps weeks." He begins to speak in Aramaic as Alexia watches in admiration, not understanding a word.

"You speak Aramaic?" Alexia asks Klaus confused. "Well that makes you hotter. Not that you already are— ugh, you got what I mean," she continues as he chuckles.

"I got it."

"What does that mean?" Caroline asks confused.

"'if only you spoke Aramaic'" he says with his signature smile.

Tyler and Caroline shares an annoyed look.

"Okay, this is it," Caroline says as there's papers of Jeremy's tattoo and Caroline's laptop. "We've translated all the symbols on the tattoo."

She begins to read the tattoo, "passage inside requires a young senator and a pretty flower." She puts the symbols down. "None of this makes sense."

Klaus watches with an amused smile as Alexia is as just as confused as Tyler and Caroline.

The Original Hybrid begins to speak in Aramaic again before speaking in English again, "requires a powerful witch and a hunter in full bloom."
