VIOLETTE WOKE UP WITH an overwhelming anxious feeling. Recently, she had forgotten to take her medication. It had an effect on her but she was too busy to notice.

After procrastinating for a while, she managed to roll herself out of bed in hope to see her brother. Unfortunately, he had stayed at Meredith's last night, and the night before, and the night before that. He was never at their silly tin can anymore. He was never there.

Like every other morning, Violette ignored the way she felt and quickly made her way to work incase she was late.

"Violette!" Alex called out as he watched her get out of her car.

"Oh, Alex." She softly smiled but was struggling with keeping the nausea she felt down.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked as he put the back of his hand on her forehead.

"I'm fine. Let's go, we don't want to be late." She joked and they both walked to the locker room.

Only Bailey was aware of their 'relationship' and they wanted to keep it that way for the mean time.

"You notice how those two are always together?" Izzie whispered to the Meredith and Cristina.

"Hm, I guess so. Which is weird seeing as they're basically opposites." Cristina laughed, watching Violette and Alex from the other side of the locker room.

"You sure you're okay, Vi?" Alex calmly asked the pale looking girl in front of him.

"I'm okay." She turned and looked into his concerned eyes. "I'm good."

"Hey. Violette!" Derek called out to his sister who had just entered an elevator. He caught up to her and noticed her sudden change of appearance. Her eyes looked a little glossy and the colour looked as if it was drained out of her face. "Hey, you okay? I know I haven't been at 'home' recently but I was thinking of bringing Meredith over, what do you think?" He asked despite the way she looked.

Violette realised she might have been coming off a bit rude and decided to brighten up a bit. "That's completely fine." She smiled.

"Oh good! I was worried that you wouldn't want to. You know because of- well and-" he began rambling but was interrupted by a small laugh from his sister.

"It's all good, Derek. I have to go!"

He watched as she ran off, why was he worried? She's fine.

Later that night, Violette stayed at the hospital while Derek showed Meredith the trailer. She felt like whenever it was the three of them she was interrupting and she hated feeling that way.

"You've been looking down all day, are you sure you're okay?" Alex asked Violette for which felt like the 100th time today.

She looked over at him and felt her eyes stinging, she needed so badly to cry.

"You can talk to me you know. I'll listen, I'll always listen." He cupped her sad face with his big hands and she let the tears fall. "Come here." He pulled her into his embrace while she cried.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Violette looked up at him and he wiped her tears with his fingers. She shook the head which he told her was okay then continued to cry.

"Vi."

"I know what you're going to say, she won't stop calling me as well, Derek." Violette sighed as they walked through the halls of the hospital.
