𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝

•𝐒𝟐𝐄𝟏 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝

"H- HUSBAND?" MEREDITH QUICKLY grabbed her bag from the seat and ran out the hospital leaving Addison face to face with the two siblings.

"Addison. What are you doing here?" He repeated in a more demanding way.

"Relax, Derek. I'm here for the TTTS case. How dare I come to see my husband and sister in law." She rolled her eyes.

"Yes Addison. How dare you come after cheating on me." Derek scoffed.

"I- I should go." Violette whispered as she was starting to get anxious whilst nervously fiddling with her fingers. "I'll- check on Meredith."

Addison looked at the girl she once called her 'sister' with sad eyes.

As Violette slowly walked off, she felt a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry." Addison whispered as she felt the tears forming in her eyes.

Violette didn't know what to say and continued to walk out of the hospital and to Joes bar, where she found her fellow intern friends, except Alex.

"Mcdreamy is Mcmarried." Meredith admitted causing George to spit out the beer from his mouth.

"George- there's beer- coming out of your nostrils." Cristina told him with a disgusted tone.

"Meredith, I'm so sorry." Violette came up behind them. "I told him to tell you."

"It's not your fault." Meredith slurred as she downed another drink.

While the interns talked amongst themselves for a while. The bartender, Joe, had collapsed and was taken to the hospital

"Alex!" Violette called out to her boyfriend who she was suppose to be going out for food with.

"Violette! Are you okay?" He asked as he ran up to her.

"I'm- I'm fine. I'm sorry, I had a family issue come up." She sighed, Alex didn't know that the chief of neurosurgery was in fact her brother and Violette didn't know how to tell him.

"That's okay." He smiled and pulled her in for a hug.

The next day, Alex and Violette stood together quietly in the hallways. All Violette could think about was yesterday's occurrences which Alex didn't really know the full story of.

"It's all my fault." She put her hands over her face and began crying whilst Alex looked at her with sympathetic eyes.

"Hey, I don't understand any of your girl stuff, but I know it wasn't your fault." He calmly told her as he brought her into his embrace.

She lightly leant her back against the wall as he kissed her softly. Alex cupped his hands around her face and starting kissing her a bit more intently.

All of a sudden, Violette felt her eyes being shot open when Alex was punched, sending his body onto the floor.

It took her a moment to realise it was her brother.

"Derek! Derek stop!" She exclaimed with tears in her eyes as she attempted to pull him off of Alex.

The other interns along with Bailey had heard the commotion and came running over.

"What in the world!" Bailey quickly ran over and pushed Derek off Alex whose face was covered in blood.

"Oh my god!" Violette went down on the floor to where Alex was. "I'm so sorry." She whispered whilst the tears in her eyes slowly fell down her face.

"Let's- uh- let's take him to a room." Bailey instructed.

"Don't cry." Alex told her quietly as Violette helped him get up slowly.

The other interns stayed back in shock of the whole scene. They immediately noticed the way the two spoke to each other. The love between the souls in front of them.

"What the hell." Izzie muttered whilst the four watched Violette and Alex walk off alongside with Bailey.

"Violette. Violette stop!" Derek called out after her. Once he got closer, he grabbed ahold of her arm. "I thought-"

"Why did you do that!" She cried as she turned around to face his guilty face.

"Vi, I'm sorry-"

"Just leave me alone, Derek!" She told him harshly but suddenly, her vision became blurry.

Derek immediately noticed the way her face paled up. "Violette?" His voice became softer in a less begging way as he realised she was zoning out.

The way he spoke caught his surroundings attention.

Before anyone could do anything Violette fainted into Dereks arms.

"Violette?" Alex moved his body to face Derek who was holding his girlfriend in his arms. "What- what happened?"

"You need to get cleaned up, Alex. Get one of the interns to help you. Someone get me a gurney!" Bailey rushed over to the intern who was completely out.

Once Alex was cleaned up, he quickly made his way to Violettes room where she was given IV fluids.

He sat down onto a chair next to her bed and gently stroked his hand in her long brunette hair.

After a few moments, she started to wake up. She blinked a few times so her vision could become clearer and managed to see Alex staring at her with worried eyes.

"I'm sorry." She told him with a quiet voice.

"Hey. Hey. None of that." He smiled as he continued to stroke her.

"I should've told you about Derek."

"He's your brother?"

She nodded and let the tears that were forming in her eyes fall. Alex quickly wiped them from her face.

"None of this is your fault." He whispered.
