THERE WERE 2 WEEKS LEFT OF SUMMER VACATION, soon football season would start again, I loved it but hated it at the same time.

It's fun in the summer, when the stadium isn't freezing cold like in the winter.

but the minute winter starts, I'm dreading every game that has yet to come, just because I know I'll be freezing my ass off, in those cases I'd rather be at home watching the game on my television.

however, Jude and jobe were very excited for their seasons to start again. I honestly don't know why, they'd have to be playing football in extremely cold weather.

I was texting Mae while laying by the pool, this had really become a routine for us.

Me, jobe, Sophia and Jude would hang out, lay by the pool or swim and play football. We didn't do anything else for the entirety of the summer.

it was fun though, i had to admit.

I lay my phone on the side table that's standing next to me, as I wanted to tan for a bit. soon enough I feel 2 hands wrap around me which is quickly met by a cold feeling around my whole body.

I was now in the pool, I feel like I swallowed a gallon of the water as my head pops up from under water. My hair was messed up, strands laying in front of my face as I tried to fix it.

I could hear jobe laughing his ass off, I was actually gonna proper slap him once I fixed my hair.

"fuck you jobe" I continue fixing my hair as jobe laughs "love you too" he laughs, this caught me off guard though. 'love you' who says that to somebody they have a situation with?

he didn't even say I love you, yet the words kept replaying in my head. he had just made me so confused by saying this, was it something he meant or just a funny joke?

I didn't find it funny at all. I wasn't laughing, he was. I guess it was just a joke to him then, but I couldn't help but overthink about it.

why? why would he say that? and why in front of Jude and Sophia? why while laughing?

I had so many questions, questions that would remain unanswered.

I stepped out of the pool, going back to the chair I was previously laying on. I couldn't help but tex Mae about it, ask her what she thought it meant.

she thought it mean nothing, as he didn't say 'I' , and he said it while laughing.

my stomach turned when I read message, it was like I was disappointed, I don't know why though I definitely did not want him to say he loved me.

it was something I just didn't want for us, it was just a summer fling sort of thing, nothing serious. There was no need to say I love you, ever.

"we have an event, Will you two be fine?" jude asks as he stands up, Sophia following his movements "again?" I question, it feit as if they were gone every evening.
